reasons why:
caps: get younger and faster, noting they had one of the oldest teams in the nil this year.
frown can shine in Washington playing with kuzy.
caps have enough defence to be able to do this
bolts: they need a RHD and Carlson will fit perfectly in Tampa Imo.
lets them resign their rfa like Johnson and palat while filling their needs.
makes them solid overall and helps young star goalie vas
value seems pretty fair, if anything bolts add or caps don't add 4th, noting from the hall- Larson trade

Carlsson > Drouin.
Carlsson is right handed and can score some points. Really good on defence as well. top 2 defenceman.
Drouin is meh, had many troubles in the past so i'm still not sure teams will pay a top 2 right hand d-man for him.

Ovie won't actually get an overpayment as you may think.
Older known on the decline and that contract hard to fit in now a days. No team will give up like 4/ 5 young building pieces for him that's for certain.
He will get a lot, yes, But not as much an overpayment as you think.

IMO, TB says no because Carlson is a UFA at years end. He will want a premium, which TB cannot and should not pay, considering he'll be 28 next year and will likely demand a long-term deal that seems him earn big dollars on the wrong side of 30.

Sign grubi long term, he's proving he's a #1 goalie especially after his 48 save 2-1 loss to Canada with Germany.
Helps philly with their goalie problem which they need help with to make them contenders, helps caps become faster and younger will still having a number one goalie
Opinions on who adds would be nice or is it even, I was thinking Philly adds a guy like nick cousins or something because nico(probs 2nd overall) hasn't proved anything yet in the NHL

Only because two guy have separated from the pack is it similar to hall/ seguin but the class isn't expected to be deep after that. While after those two in 2010 were still johansen, skinner, fowler, tarasenko, kuznetsov and so on. That was not expected to be a weak draft like this one is.

the flyers have some of the best Goalie prospects in the league. they'll sign a stop gap like Ryan Miller for a year, and either use their pick, or trade it for a goal scorer. Landeskog.

Sochi 2014, Latvia lost 2-1 to Canada and Kristers Gudlevskis stopped 55 shots. I was shocked when yzerman didn't cut Ben bishop AND Andrei Vaselievsky upon returning home because gudlevskis had clearly leaped them both on the depth chart. Come on.
3 seasons later he's still a really good AHL goalie who will now probably back up vasilevsky in the fall.
Holtby is a vezina caliber goalie at 27. Is it really time to push him out because his back up had a good week overseas? NO!

Holtby won't be moved. Not sure what he would be moved for if he did but I see a few possible destinations in no particular order.
Winnipeg- strong youth influx that could use a franchise goalie.
NY islanders- If they wanna keep JT in the playoff hunt, they need a better goalie.
Montreal- Assuming they can't resign Price. Because the Price isn't right for what they can afford 😜
Calgary- Similar to Winnipeg situation.
Edmonton- If Talbot stumbles and can't take them all the way. They would be interested. (Very unlikely choice)
Ottawa- If Anderson has injury problems and they don't have a solid goalie for after Anderson. They may inquire.
Philadelphia- Try to win in Giroux era with a stud goalie.
That's all I got. Chances are beyond reason that he goes anywhere. He will be a Capital for a long time.

Samsonov is 7 years younger so when he's ready they'd probably go with him. And yeah definitely it probably won't happen soon but if Washington doesn't do anything in the next few seasons it could happen.

I still think a big piece of WAS's core will be moved before they take the next step tho. Backstrom or Kuz is my guess.

buffy would be a nice addition to WSH, still doubt they'd want to pay the price to acquire him since they're doing more than fine without him.
