Avs trade : (guenin and soderberg) or (holden and everberg/rendulic) and a first
Montreak trades : semin, emelin
Semin isn't panning out for montreal and they need to add some depth/size/grit up front. Soderberg is a good two way player but isn't panning out in colorado so they can trade problem players with each other as they have done in the past (parenteau and briere) . Montreal also has good defensive depth but would want a body they can plug into the void left by a player leaving. Avs need a d partner for barrie and nobody has worked yet. The first is to make it a little more worth it for the habs. Unrealistic habs mess with their winning formula right now but they learned last year that you neeeeeeed goals in the playoffs cause price can only do so much.

i'm pretty sure Mtl would be lucky to get a 5th for Emelin or Semin at this point.

Habs pass, Emelin is top 4 D-man on a team heading for another 100-plus point season, he's also one of the best open ice hitters in the world

Wouldn't say Emelin is worthless... Jus a highly overpaid 5th dman.... as for Semin.. next stop KHL.

Avalanche need to add, maybe Landeskog. Emelin is one of the best hitters which makes him a top Dman in the league. Semin scored 40 goals like 7 years ago which makes him a top line sniper. Why would Habs give there 2 most valuable assets for that?
