Poile stated phones remain wide open but prices for rental players high. Maybe he goes hockey deal again and goes after Skinner ( now not saying its likely skinner is moved but his names been out there)

Not too bad. Just don’t see why a 1st, alex carrier and scissons you proposed for Max Domi and the same package but jarnkrok instead of scissons makes it worth skinner?!
One of those has to be way off. Skinner has 200 career goals, Domi has 30 NHL goals. I know domis only 22 and has a lot of time left, but I think people forget skinner is only 25! Just been a top player on that team for what seems like forever, people assume he’s older I think.

Colton Sissons
Before knocking this, Colton Sissons made a huge impact during the playoffs last season, flashing offensive upside. On a team like Arizona, i see Sissons posting Jarnkrok/Smith type numbers. Fringe 20g guy who can handle powerplay or penalty kill. He is utilized like a grinder basically because of depth
But at age 24 you can argue he has more to offer. Add Aberg if you don't like Sissons.
Carrier is 2nd best dprospect preds have and is right now, more nhl ready then Dante Fabbro. They want to reserve a roster spot for Fabbro. That is likely why Carrier remains an Ahler at this time + irwin yweber and bitetto fill that 6th defensive role right now.

Ok guys.i see how it would be an over payment for Domi after looking.
It might be a biased to his playing style, i think he's a guy that could work well in the preds system. The Skinner deal involving a 1st, Janrkrok and prospect il defend as very fair. Jarnkrok has had 15,16 goals the past two seasons. He makes 2mil av over next 5 years. Plays on powerplay, Pk, 3 on 3ot, and has 14 goals 28pts in 58 games already this year. The value/price is amazing.

If that pick is top 4, Dahlin or one of the 3 projected top line wingers. Not a chance I would do that pick alone for that package.

Yes preds over pay for this rental big time. They also aquired Franson and Santorelli for multiple picks, and dealt for gaustad using a 1st in the past. So if anything preds could do worse then to get Nash for that price.

I wouldn't be surprised if Preds don't make a big splash at deadline. this is a really good team as is. they might forsure, but with the current roster, they have a really good shot of coming out of the West again, with the addition of Turris earlier. and a Healthy Johansson all playoffs, they may be the team to beat.

The late pick is a gamble, jarnkrok is a steal contract wise. Very underated. But the d prospects are nhl ready. But you can argue Carolina is loaded on D. But Tolvanen would be too much to pay and there's a bit of a drop off at forward in the system.

I would think that if canes were to trade skinner to the press they’d want Tolvanen in return and then some. Canes should be looking at add scoring not trade it away, they’re in a position to deal defence not scoring forwards.

This is brutal for nashville. Maybe if Pacioretty was scoring like a 30 goal scorer would this make sense. but even still. Nashville top 2 prospects for one year of a a guy slumping is a huge no from the preds.
1St2018, 2nd 2019 plus aberg for pacioretty.
