To the flames -Rfa Reilly smith (and possibly Kevin miller)

To boston- Baerchi, Colbourne, knight/ or Wotherspoon and a 5th/ or 4th

Or

Backlund, knight/or Wotherspoon and a 2nd

Colbourne was among the teams leading hitters and would fit nicely in a checking line role. Backlund would sure up the middle behind Krejci and Bergeron playing a highly skilled/ defensive 3rd center role. If no interest in Backlund, Baerchi could easily replace Smith and play in the top 6. Although small, he brings that compete.

1.) It's tough commenting on a deal that possibly includes Kevin millar. Saying baertchi could easily replace smith and play in the top 6 is foolish IMO

2.) Flames should just hold on to those guys

3.) Dude, if you want Calgary to be terrible for 10 more years. Then you would complete this trade. 2. Its Baertschi. 3. Baertschi is a wonderful prospect that any team would love to have. He hasn't had his full chance to play in the NHL. He was drafted 13th overall. I wouldn't give up a 13th overall just yet. Well, not for Reilly Smith. Reilly Smith's a good player, don't get me wrong. But he's not worth Baertschi and such prospects as: Knight,Wotherspoon and early 4th and 5th rounds.Backlund is what's been keeping Calgary up last year. And Wotherspoon is a wonderful defense prospect that, my guess will turn out top 4. Colborne is worth around a 3rd/4th. Not less then a 3rd. And that needs to be a late 3rd. Calgary won't trade Knight this year, or next year. Or even in two years.

Garbutt, connauton, and a mid round pick to Calgary

And, Glencross or Baertchi along with Russel to Dallas

Dallas needs Russels experience on d, and the experience on wing would also help with Glenncross.

I'd throw in curtis mckenzie's name if the value isn't enough for Calgary instead of Connauton

1.) 1. Glencross wouldn't wave his NTC
2. Flames would be stupid to trade Baertschi now when his value is at an all time low.
3. Flames just extended Russell. Doubt they move him now.

Value is there but doesn't really make sense for Calgary
