WSH - Bozak
TOR - 2nd 2015, Orlov
BOS - Stewart
BUF - 3rd 2015 or 2016, Cunningham, Trotman
DET - Petry, Hendricks
EDM - Frk, Lashoff, 3rd 2015
1.) Buffalo could probably get a conditional 1st for Stewart and another asset
2.) But all the leafs players aren't worth 1st?
3.) Petry isn't worth a prospect like Frk.
I would trade Kindl or lashoff or Jensen and campbell or a 5th round pick for him.
4.) The inclusion of Orlov makes this overpayment.
5.) @thejazz97 for example Stewart & prospect to Boston for 2015 2nd and 4th becomes a 1st if Boston makes the 2nd round of the playoffs. The offer above is really not bad, Zach Trotman and Craig Cunningham are two of Boston's top 20 prospects (not necessarily what Murray would want but not total duds either). The rumor has Boston offering Ryan Spooner for Stewart. IMO if Boston were to change it to David Pastrnak (an almost equal but younger prospect go to hockeysfuture for comparison or to espn prospect ranking) it would be a done deal.
6.) Just a thought, comparing Stewart and Lucic. I would imagine if Lucic was up for a trade nearly everyone on this site would say, at least a 1st and a good prospect. But when Stewart is mentioned in a trade, nearly everyone on this site says no more than a 3rd. Check this out:
Lucic 7.5% of teams goals in 2015, 26 years old .61 pts/gm career
Stewart 9% of teams goals in 2015, 27 years old .57 pts/gm career
Not much of a difference between the two. Stewart is actually performing moderately better than Lucic this year. Lucic is slightly better over their careers. So when Murray says he is looking for a 1st, maybe he did not take too many happy pills that day. I am sure that I will be lambasted for this post, most will disagree and everyone will have unsubstantiated reasons for the error of my thought, that is OK we are all entitled to our opinions, just keep in mind Stewart does not have Krejci as a center and Smith as the opposite winger.

So I read off The Score that Dallas is interested in Hurricanes Sekara. Here's my proposal.
Dallas: Sekara, Bellemore, 7th 2015
Carolina: Glennie, Troock. 2nd 2016
Dallas gets a good top 4 plus a decent 7th D-Man.
Carolina picks up an okay prospect with potential as well as a B- prospect. And a high round pick.
1.) You people on here know nothing. Stop over-valuing your players.

Dal - 3rd 2015
Wpg - Cole
Dal - Faksa, Jokkipaaka, Fiddler, 2nd 2016
Tor - Franson, Lupul, 5th 2015
Dal - 4th 2016
NYR - Horcoff
Dallas gets rid of cap by trading Cole and Horcoff, and can then take on the cap of Franson and Lupul. Dallas hopefully will try to sign Franson back. Toronto gets a bounty in return. Wpg and NYR get quality bottom sixers for the playoffs

Dallas: Green, Wey
Washington: Eakin, Jokkipaaka, 3rd 2016
Calgary: Griffith, Caron
Boston: Glenncross, 3rd 2016
New York Isles: Kessel, Robidas, Biggs
Toronto: Leddy, Reinhart, 1st 2015, Lee
Detroit: Larsson
New Jersey: Jurco
Anaheim: Bouwmeester, Edmondson
St. Louis: Rakell, 2nd 2016
1.) Larsson for Jurco seems fair. However Detroit likes Jurco right now. If they didn't then they would have traded him in favor of keeping Nestrasil on the roster but instead they let Nestrasil go on waivers to Carolina.
Maybe an off-season deal.
2.) How on earth do you think Rakel and a 2nd or worth JAYBO and Edmonson
not going to happen. Blues will not trade any of our talent to a conference leader.
3.) Especially for that crap you proposed
LOL

Hypothetical Trades (Tell me what you think)
Washington: Vermette, Michalek
Arizona: Chimera, Orlov, Wey, 2nd 2016
Dallas: Franson
Toronto: Faksa, Gaunce, 4th 2015
Dallas: 3rd 2016
Boston: Cole
Detroit: Seabrook, 5th 2015
Chicago: Tatar, Smith, 1st 2015
Calgary: Richards, 2nd 2015
Los Angeles: Raymond, Russell, 6th 2016
1.) No way Chicago gets all that for Seabrook. Take out the first and replace Kindl for smith, then add a C prospect.
2.) Too much for Franson
No way Blackhawks accept that
3.) 31 Jan 2015 00:17:45
Arizona wants a scoring winger
4.) 31 Jan 2015 02:23:35
I like the Boston trade. you might not get Cole for that, but maybe.
5.) How about this for Seabrook?
Detroit Trades:
Jurco, 1st 2015, Kindl. low B-C level prospect
Detroit's Defense:
Kronwall-Seabrook
Dekeyser-Quincey
Smith-Ericsson
Detroit may still need to add but Detroit won't trade Tatar right now.

You people on this site have no idea how trades work. It's not always about fair value, it's about a teams need at that point in time.
- It matters how many years they have left on their contract
- The players' salaries.
- Whether or not they have a NTC and whether that player is willing to waive their NTC
- Location of the team, as well as the players families
- Each teams Salary Cap
- Spots available on the roster
- If they're an UFA at the end of the season, their trade value is not nearly as high
- How good that player is playing at that point in time as well as how good they've done in the past
It's all about addressing needs and planning for the future. A lot of you don't understand this and make ridiculous trades that would never happen, and then throw people out who make realistic trades. I'm looking at you Boston, Toronto and Montreal fans.
1.) 05 Sep 2015 16:50:22
you may as well add every other team to that list as well because 95% of trades on here and pretty much every other site are not realistic.fact is if a person is making a trade post about his own team then obviously he has no intention on ripping off his own team.
2.) 05 Sep 2015 16:56:33
And none of us are employed by an nhl franchise in a management role, therefore we only have a general understanding of their direction and know pretty much none of the intimate details you specified (players' geographical preference for example). So, with that said, all we can do is speculate and make trades that are fair value-wise. It's known by all that pretty much 100% of the "trades" posted here won't happen and are purely for entertainment purpose, if they're somewhat believable they may even create a bit of a debate.
3.) 05 Sep 2015 18:22:48
Very well said Shankar. Pretty much nailed it right on the head.
Yandle trade I would do. If we get him, no need for Seabrook.
HAHAHAHA! Oh wait, you're serious. HAHAHAHA!
Too much for Cole, change it to a conditional 3rd. Horcoff value is right. And the Seabrook trade is alright, but like the other guy said, steep price
Dallas would never, ever, take that trade. And Boston isn't going to trade Rask, not even for Hall.
I like this one. Hodgeson needs a new home.
