I do Believe that Edmonton and Toronto will hook up at the draft for a blockbuster because both of these teams are looking for culture change and the leafs need some center help and a top six winger to play with Kadri while the Oilers need a top 2 D-MAN and the leafs are looking to trade Phanuef a top pairing D-MAN locked into a contract for the next 7 years that in retrospective will look good in a few years as the cap rises and 7 million for a 1st pairing D-MAN of his caliber won't be so insane.
PROPOSED TRADE DURING NHL DRAFT DAY:
TOR: RW Jordan Eberle, C Gagner, 3rd Overall pick in 2014
EDM: D Phanuef, 8th Overall pick in 2014, G Reimer, C Bolland, D Franson, D Percy
DRAFT:
*Leafs Draft Sam Bennett with the 3rd overall pick
*Oilers Draft Haydn Fleury with the 8th overall pick
Trade Breakdown:
D Phanuef, 8th overall, G Reimer, D Franson = RW Eberle, 3rd overall
C Bolland, D Percy = C Gagner
*This deal is a big challenge Toronto loves Bozak but I believe he has hit his full potential with Toronto which is being a #1 center with 50 point potential? This trade would be great for Colorado because they can sign Statsny and get the perfect third line for this young team that can penalty kill and play on the power play as well.
PROPOSED DEAL:
TOR: C Ryan O'Reilly (Rights), D Hejda
COL: C Bozak, D Granberg, C Holland, 5th round pick in 2014
*Bozak wouldn't be opposed to this deal as he has said numerous times that Colorado is like a second home to him he played at the university of Denver and is great friends with
Paul Statsny as they workout together in the off-season and Statsny is the player they favor to sign over O'Reilly. For the leafs they acquire a future #1 center that can play gritty and offensive and compliments JVR and Kessel perfectly.

1.) A deal for eberle must include jvr+
2.) Waiting for Draisaitl_94 to lash out at you because EDM gets screwed in that trade
3.) That is fair value. Much better than kadri and Reimer for Kessler that is going around.

Very, very bad trade for the Oilers, no way EDM accepts this.
COL trade is closer, but COL declines, too.

Wow, talk about deluded. Truly awful.
6.) The roster looks like a playoff team but I pray the oilers don't trade Eberle. And we don't need Reimer.

The reason that this deal makes no sense a part from giving up one of our best young prospects in Percy is that Richards has arguably a worse contract than Clarkson so it makes no sense to make this deal no brainer

Really like that deal for Franson if the leafs are willing to trade him and begin a re-build
LOOOL what source it seems like a good deal but don't just come here acting like its going to happen. But I agree that Phanuef should be traded 100%
What is wrong with some people undervaluing the leafs players come on kadri, gardiner, and phanuef for the third overall relax its phanuef and a b level prospect that would get you the 3rd overall pick if the leafs did this deal there would be hell to pay for leafs management
