1.) 19 Sep 2014 13:57:31
Not bad.
I think Vrbata will be more like 33-24=57
Tanev will have a few more assits.
Miller won't have a so much worse GAA and SV% than Lack IMO

I'll try it for my Lightning:

(assuming all play 82 games):

Stamkos 57+42=99
Callahan 24+28=52
Filppula 22+32=54
Johnson 27+24=51
Palat 25+32=57
Killorn 21+22=43
Boyle 13+13=26
Morrow 9+12=21
Brown 12+19=31
Drouin 22+40=62
Connolly 8+14=22
Panik 11+8=19
Kucherov 12+8=20

Hedman 14+48=62
Carle 7+25=32
Gudas 4+14=18
Stralman 3+25=28
Garrison 15+25=40
Brewer 2+12=14
Barberio 3+14=17
Sustr 6+18=24

Bishop GP 59 31W GAA 2.28 SV% .924
Nabokov GP 23 11W GAA 2.65 SV% .915

2.) Drais saying Tampa will score 316 goals is pretty optimistic. They had 240 last year, and will probably be better especially with a healthy stamkos. If say they score around 275-285 though and even that seems high.

3.) 20 Sep 2014 03:26:21
yea saying 300+ goals is absolutely ridiculous, idek the last time that happened in the nhl

4.) 20 Sep 2014 06:14:17
lol I actually looked it up, last team to score 300 goals was washington in 2009, before that I don't believe it happened again until the 90's.

5.) @OP:
I think that's a damn solid representation of what Vancouver could put up this year. Only bit I'd probably change is Kassian. I don't see him scoring 21, nor being the 3rd highest scoring player. I know why the Canucks traded for him and what they hope to get out of him, but I don't see it. I think he lucks out with 12 goals or so on the 3rd line. Outside of that, I think your predictions will be pretty close.

6.) 20 Sep 2014 08:24:02
Lol I didn't count total goals at the end.
But I also used 13 F and 8 D, that's 21 and only 18 will play every game, so that obviously reduces the total a bit.

7.) Assuming all of them play 82 games, 21 skaters. smoke another one.

8.) 20 Sep 2014 12:50:46
O cmon, I do know only 18 are playing, but since I don't know yet who makes and and who doesnt, I just put up all of'em.
So taking out Sustr, Barberio and prolly Panik/Connolly/Kucherov also reduces the goal total beneath 300.
Which is still too high, but I just didn't count goals, lol
Dont think the prediction for a single player is super unrealistic, tho

9.) Taking away 1-2 forward goal totals and maybe a defacement totals will bring it down below 300, then maybe a 2-5 goals off of some forwards brings it down to around the 275 mark which I think is pretty realistic for this group of offensive talent both on the forward and defense group.

Didn't count how many plays just counted the goals when I first looked at it, most of these guys do have those kind of goal potentials in a full season, only problem will be who gets the pp time to allow that and who gets the good match ups to allow that.

10.) 20 Sep 2014 22:16:42
TB should be in the upper end of the league in goal scoring, but that's still only the the 260 range, which is around where i'd put them as a team for the season

11.) 20 Sep 2014 23:03:51
you are 100% right!
Especially Killorn, Brown and Drouin are too high if I reconsider now

12.) 21 Sep 2014 12:00:27
UPDATE version:

Stamkos 57+42=99
Callahan 23+28=51
Filppula 20+32=52
Johnson 24+24=48
Palat 23+32=55
Killorn 16+25=41
Boyle 10+13=23
Morrow 7+12=19
Brown 6+19=25
Drouin 18+41=59
Connolly 8+14=22
Kucherov 10+8=18

Hedman 12+52=60
Carle 5+25=30
Gudas 3+14=17
Stralman 3+25=28
Garrison 13+27=40
Brewer 2+12=14

used 12F and 6D here, goal total: 260
Thats 3.17 goals/game. still quite a lot, but this team is talented offensively.

13.) I think all of those with the exception of Hedman and maybe Drouin are very probable predictions although with how skilled Drouin is you never know.

14.) 21 Sep 2014 20:52:52
Yeah Drouin is more of a hope, depends on on which line he starts. If he starts on the first line, this might happen. If he starts on the 3rd, prolly won't happen.

Just asking: Why do you think 60 points is unrealistic for Hedman?

15.) Its seems to me that he overachieved this year and the only defencemans with 60 point potential are Karlsson, Subban, Keith, Letang (when healthy), Green (bold but if given the freedom to roam. ) and Byfuglien. I see Hedman as more as a two way defenceman who can put up 40 - 55 points kind of like a mix between Suter and Weber but not as good as them YET.

16.) 23 Sep 2014 21:36:10
Okay. but as the #1 defensemen on a team with that much firepower. he had 55 points in 75 games last season. A season where he had Stamkos only for half of the games.
So I think his further development + more of Stamkos + playing all 82 games = easily 60+ points.
He already was on pace for 60 last season.
Pietrangelo, Yandle, Wisniewski and maybe one day OEL and Shattenkirk are good bets for 60, too.
Btw, Weber had 56 in 79, so he could get 60, too.
Also, I think Goligoski will have a lot of points this year, darkhorse pick.

You're not going to get a first rounder for a 4/5 dman who is going to be an rfa

Depends how edler plays this year. If he plays to his capabilities, then Van never does this
