1.) 08 Nov 2021 22:52:11
Bro what? Hertl isn’t worth that especially considering he is UFA after this season.

2.) 11 Nov 2021 21:21:04
Even if wasn't a UFA, still isn't worth all that.

3.) 12 Nov 2021 06:14:47
Is Connor brown worth more than monahan? Could probably just put monahan on 3rd line wing and not downgrade a draft pick.

Also not sure if hertl is a great target.

4.) 15 Nov 2021 04:51:58
@monkeyful Brown and Monahan are probably worth the same right now, maybe Brown has a little more value. But Ottawa needs and wants a C, so I could see a 1 for 1 swap. But that San Jose trade is brutal for Calgary.

I’m a huge flames fan and I’ve proposed the Point for Gaudreau in the past. But I’m going to say that’s most likely a huge no from TB. The other trades aren’t bad though but I think Jarnkrok fetches way more. Jarnkrok is also cousins with Elias Lindholm so it would be really cool.

2.) 06 May 2021 16:40:27
Tampa laughs like that is a terrible deal and so does Buffalo why would a rebuilding team want anything to do with Monahan.

3.) 06 May 2021 17:00:50
@Nylander Monahan isn’t that old and Buffalo is rubbish so why not take a chance of someone new?

4.) 06 May 2021 17:22:51
Ugh maybe idk keep the younger player who produces more. If they trade him it should be for picks and prospects. Think Zary, Pelletier and 2nd 2021 for Rienhart.

5.) 06 May 2021 18:24:34
Zary, Pelletier and 2nd > Reinhart imo. I’m not super high on Zary but Pelletier is a stud.

6.) 06 May 2021 22:02:07
Can't see Tampa going for that, though as a Flames fan I'd be happy with it.

Monahan for Reinhart. I'd like to see Reinhart in Calgary, not sure I'd trade Monahan for him though. Gaudreau though, no problem, get it done!

Fabbri. I'd rather just resign Derek Ryan 1-3 years for 1.5-2 mil per year.

Jarnkrok is ok but he's a UFA. We don't need to trade for him if we want him.

7.) 06 May 2021 23:28:24
Value wise on the Fabbri deal is not bad, probably going to keep him.

8.) 07 May 2021 23:13:54
First one TB declines.

Second one could happen if Calgary adds a bit of draft capital. I see it similar to the Mantha, Vrana trade. I think Monahan is a good player and could see a big jump in numbers if given the right opportunity. Maybe like a second and a future third.

Dont know much about the last two players so i can't really comment.

9.) 11 May 2021 18:02:50
@Websjac If anything it'd be the other way around. Buffalo would be adding on a Monahan for Reinhart trade.

Monahan has better career numbers, is 1 year older and though he gets paid $1.175 mil more now he's signed for another 2 years while Reinhart is an RFA who needs to be resigned.

It wouldn't be a very a good idea to fix the hole at RW by creating another at center. And if they play Reinhart at center then they still have the same old problem at RW.

Cgy: point

TB: gaudreau.

Trademaker

1.) 26 Aug 2020 05:22:12
Point worth more.

2.) 26 Aug 2020 05:27:38
Point>>>>>>>Guadreau especially considering contract.

3.) 26 Aug 2020 14:18:27
Lol wtf is this. Point eats Gaudreau alive, you seen him play?

4.) 26 Aug 2020 15:09:14
What about monahan and hanifin for reinhart and ristolainen

5.) 26 Aug 2020 16:09:31
Triplets, do you think Point is better than Kucherov? He’s looked pretty good these playoffs.

6.) 14 Sep 2020 07:01:07
Monahan is better than reinhart, hanafin is almost as good as ristolainen, a lot younger, a lot cheaper and getting better while ristolainen is on the decline.

21 Aug 2020 05:26:43
Let's get crazy.

Cgy: Gaudreau and Monahan
BUF: Eichel (15% retained)

Cgy sign hall 7.5 x 5.

Cgy:Giordano
Pitt: Marino, Rust

Hall-Eichel-Rust
Tkachuk-Lindholm-Mangiapane
Bennett-Backlund-Dube
Rieder-Ryan-gawdin/Robinson

Hanifin-Andersson
Valimaki-Marino
Who cares, who cares
Because

It'll be playoff
Dissapointment again

Trademaker

1.) 21 Aug 2020 06:15:17
Lmao if you think that gets Eichel you’re out to lunch. I wouldn’t even take that package for Mathews let alone eichel.

2.) 21 Aug 2020 07:38:10
Hey Vb I’m curious, Eichel has more value in your eyes then Matthews?

3.) 21 Aug 2020 08:55:22
I’d say they’re equal talents but Eichel has a better contract.

4.) 21 Aug 2020 09:03:19
Gaudreau and Monahan’s contract together equal Eichels and both of them combined produce more points than Eichel. So why do the Flames do that? Makes no sense

5.) 21 Aug 2020 14:04:33
True but Eichel is your gm and if he wants out he will find a way ;)

6.) 30 Aug 2020 16:22:24
VB thinks he knows everything doesn’t he. Lol of course that would get you Eichel. Give your head a shake.
Also Hall would be on the second line, this is Chuckys team going forward.

7.) 15 Sep 2020 01:08:07
Gaudreau and Monahan for Eichel is something Calgary would have to consider if they're sure they can get a really good winger somehow without giving up anymore core players. Sign free agent Taylor Hall with a hometown discount maybe.

There's no way Eichel is available unless there's truth to rumors about him wanting out of Buffalo and management thinks they have absolutely no chance of changing his mind.

15 Jul 2020 19:22:06
Potential CGY offseason:

Sign Taylor Hall 8.5x5-7 years, hometown discount.

Let rieder, Brodie, hamonic, and Gustafson walk. Use cap for Hall.

To Cgy:
Brandon Montour
To Bug:
Oliver kylington
4th round pick

To Cgy:
John Marino
To Pitt:
Mark Jankowski
Ilya Nikolaev

To Cgy:
Oscar Sundquist
To STL:
2020 2nd, B prospect

Gaudreau-Monahan-lindholm
Hall-Backlund-Tkachuk
Mangiapane-Dube-Sundquist
Bennett-Ryan-Lucic

Giordano-Andersson
Hanafin-Marino
Valimaki-Montour
Forbort

Rittich

Potential bigger shakeup is those trade except not Sundquist trade, Gaudreau + second for Point, in which case:

Hall-Monahan-Lindholm
Tkachuk-Point-Mangiapane
Dube-Backlund-Bennett
Pelletier-Ryan-Lucic

Trademaker

1.) 15 Jul 2020 20:33:20
No chance Pittsburgh takes that

No chance Buffalo takes that

The only trade that may be close is St. Louis, depending on the prospect.

2.) 15 Jul 2020 20:41:21
yeah blues have zero interest in trading oskar sundvquist. Especially for a B prospect LOL.

3.) 15 Jul 2020 20:45:50
Gaudreau and a second does NOT get Point lmao

All those trades are a bit in Calgary’s favor.

4.) 16 Jul 2020 00:04:39
Pens aren’t trading Marino, esp not for that lol

Also brutal offer for Point.

5.) 16 Jul 2020 04:25:58
Also, don't think Hall is going to accept that contract as it's terrible for him.

Not even going to spend time talking about how he is worth more than 8.5 now, every season as the salary cap rises his deal will become worse and worse for him.

Personally, I see him signing for 10M+.

6.) 16 Jul 2020 14:02:00
TysonBarrie you do realize the cap is locked for 3 years right?

7.) 17 Jul 2020 01:19:15
@vb
What? I've never heard that. I have heard about the salary cap being the same for 2020-2021 season but nothing beyond that. Also, how can a salary cap be locked? Isn't it based off a % of total revenue?

8.) 17 Jul 2020 06:05:32
No the salary cap isn’t determined that easily. But yes it’s locked to prevent a dramatic salary cap drop due to lost revenue.

9.) 30 Aug 2020 17:46:19
Everyone talks about how much better Point is than JG, i think you need to keep in mind the talent around Point as well, he plays on a superior team.
If 13 played on TB I don’t think it would be out of the realm to say they would have their next MSL, who also came in a Flames trade.
Point going home, we’ll be great for Calgary. But I think 13 and a second is a great way to start a phone call.

Foo has played 4 games. he's bubble to make the team. Brouwer is not good at all. Hathaway is gritty but lacks any sort of skill.

Ferland is the big one. I left him off because he's had a concussion again for the thord or fourth time so i left him off because i'm not sure how effective he would be.
