This is a lot of IFS

IF Ottawa and Methot can't reach an agreement

IF Minnesota is just out of being true contenders

IF Lehner steps up

IF its the trade deadline

Ottawa trades Marc Methot and Craig Anderson and a 2nd

Minnesota trades Darcy Kuemper, Jonas Brodin, and Erik Haula

VERSACE iCON

1.) Keumper>anderson
Haula>2nd
Brodin>methot

IF only you were even

2.) 02 Nov 2014 06:35:49
that wouldn't get brodin alone. regardless of his age, contract and potential, he is right now a better defenseman that methot.

3.) 02 Nov 2014 17:10:19
Kuemper is not worth more than Anderson if he keeps playing like he is now, and if Minnesota feels they can win with a better goalie

Methot is still rather good and young so Brodin is not an unbelievable difference in value

Haula was just the first prospect I came up with, idk who else Minnesota really has asides from Haula but one worth less is fine

4.) @Captain Canada
I disagree with the statement. Kuemper is not better than Anderson. Anderson played bad but I will choose Anderson over Kuemper. Will Kuemper be better then Anderson? Yes. But not right now.

Sens need some top 6 help, and the Bruins are apparently not too happy with Marchy anymore

Greening and Puempel for Marchand maybe?

VERSACE iCON

1.) Boston's only giving up marchand of they get another top 6 guy

2.) **unless they

3.) Pageau, Michalek, 5th for Marchand

4.) 14 Oct 2014 23:46:34
Not likely. That's scraps for a top 4 forward.

5.) Sam Gagner and BJ Crombeen for a sixth. just sayin

Senators Game Plan

Trade Jason Spezza and Patrick Wiercioch to Anaheim for Jakob Silfverberg (RFA rigthts), Max Friberg, and the 24th overall pick.

At the draft: Draft Travis Sanheim, big skilled two way defenseman who really shone through for Calgary, seems like Ceci's twin only 9 spots lower and on the left side

Resign Hoffman, Lehner, Michalek, and Gryba
Sign Brian Boyle 4y 10m

MacArthur-Turris-Ryan
Michalek-Zibanejad-Silfverberg
Hoffman-Boyle-Stone
Greening-Smith-Neil

Methot-Karlsson
Cowen-Ceci
Phillips-Gryba

Anderson
Lehner

Eventually, potentially at the trade deadline, I hope I see something like:

Anderson Cowen
Edler Markstrom

Methot moves to second pairing to play with Ceci while Edler goes top 2, Markstrom backs up Lehner while Cowen goes top 4 in Vancouver or Top 2 if they choose to put him there, and Anderson helps Lack ease into the NHL

VERSACE iCON

1.) Dont like the sens trade with anaheim, not sure if boyle would come to ottawa, vancouver trade is interesting

2.) No way anaheim parts with silferberg.

3.) There is a rumor out there that Ducks may move Silverberg to the Islander to move up to the #5 pick in the draft.

4.) 26 Jun 2014 16:20:48
not silfverberg but palmarie or etem

5.) 26 Jun 2014 22:01:51
How many times do I have to repeat this, Lazar is coming in the lineup next year

Not like nobody's going to mention it, but what are the thoughts on the Spezza trade? As a sens fan I like it, chiasson is almost exactly what we need, and I feel like we got a decent prospect in guptill and the second for Spezza. obviously I would I have liked more but this is a pretty decent return

VERSACE iCON

1.) If the prospects play any signifcant time in the nhl then the sens win the trade. i'm sure sens fans thought theyd be getting a 1st, but not with the big draft next year.

2.) Some ok prospects that have decent size as well. I like this trade as well as a sens fan we knew it wouldn't be a gold mine on the return but in chiasson it addresses our weak right wing side and it adds a big young player that is improving and can improve more. Sad to see spezza be gone but I think this could be a nice return for spezza in the future.

I'm getting sick and tired of limited-NTC's. If you ask to get traded, you should have 0 say in the matter where you get traded to. If the team approaches you, then by all means give them a list you won't go to but if a player demands to get traded, he also shouldn't be able to decide where

VERSACE iCON

1.) They got the ntc so its the gms fault for giving it

2.) 26 Jun 2014 06:00:27
I'm saying if you demand a trade, you can't also dictate where you get traded to. If you don't ask for a trade, then you can pick

My word this is what the top 5 will be if there are no trades and there really isn't any other option

Ekblad
Reinhart
Draisaitl
Dal Colle
Bennet

Florida needs a defenseman. And an offenseman too but the have some too

Buffalo needs everything more badly but they like reinhart and its cool and whatevs

Edmonton needs size and a centre. He's big and a centre.

Calgary picks Dal Colle to play with Monahan

Islanders pick Bennet because Doug gilour makes a damn good centre behind John Tavares

Eberle for Methot, Lazar and a 2nd? The Sens can't keep methot in the upcoming expansion draft and it comes down to smith or lazar for ottawas last forward slot, assuming eberle is on the team.

How about something like the Schneider deal (because the Sharks have the 9th pick), Lehner and the better of our two seconds for the 9th?

There's no way Ottawa has a weaker lineup than all of the clear rebuild - top 5 picks from last year- teams. Yes its not better than many other teams but legwand helps a lot

The fact that you're complaining that you're players aren't French proves why people hate Montreal fans. You all have stupid prejudices against perfectly good players/coaches/GM's that could help your team all because they weren't born somewhere else
