A very easy no for New Jersey. Larsson was playing over 20 minutes a night and put up like 26 points in 60 something games for the Devils. I think he's playing just fine and could just be a late bloomer similar to Hedman.

I'd hate to see Draisaitl traded, but it would probably be a beneficial trade for both teams. Not sure it's enough to bump other suitors out of the picture who are after 3rd overall tho, and if that's the case I don't think its wise for the Oilers to add. Intriguing thought tho.

STL are open for trading big part of there team for help them to pass longer in series. I read that they are probably open to trade Backes, Oshie and Berglund. Montreal need a big center and a good right winger. And St-louis need cap soace for sign Tarasenko and a good goalie prospect.
STL: Backes + Oshie
Mtl: Plekanec + Parenteau (cap dump) + Tinordi ( or Emelin) + Hudon + Lekhonen + Fucale + 2 round 16 buf + 2 round 16 Mtl
Backes ( I think he's value is same as Spezza the last year) = Plekanec + Lekhonen + 2 round
Oshie = Parenteau + Tinordi + Hudon + 2 round
I know it's a big trade and maybe the value is not fair but i'm not a GM I am just a fan and I think it's could be a good trade for boths team.

so, you say STL needs cap spaace, yet you actually give them more in plekanec and parenteau alone, nevermind if emelin is in there as well. backes and oshie are on very very good contracts for their production and overall play, they definately won't be moved for downgrades and cap space.

That will not happen. The blues have 3 nhl ready prospects waiting in the wings. Rattie, Fabbri, and Barbashev. So at this point the idea would be to move Berglund, Oshie + for an upgraded player. Not to add more players to our team so we want to package to get a better player. Fabbri and Rattie will be in the nhl next year Barbashev will be first call up.
Blues say no. We do not need quanity over quality. We need the opposite.

Realistically I can only see the Habs getting E.Staal(j.staal isn't great and he's got an expensive contract), Sharp, Thornton & maybe Eberle/Hall if EDM wants to deal one(probably Eberle) & Maybe Kessel(doubt he gets traded). The price on most of those players is simply gunna cost to much (Johanson, OEL, Duchene,Malkin)
For a Sharp/Staal/Thornton trade i'd say a 1st & Good prospect and possibly mid-late Draft pick or depth player.
Not sure what Coyle & Rychel would cost, however I doubt MIN & CBJ would move them.

I don't know why but if Buffalo buyout Cody Hodgson, Habs will be in. He only need fresh air and he will not cost a lot I think it's a good gambling.

I think if Hodgson gets bought out the leafs instantly become the front runner to acquire his services he would be a great second/third line centre with skill and I agree he does need a change of scenery! But I don't think he could be had for 2 million a year think more like 3-3.5 on 2 year deal remember he is a very talented kid just plays for a very bad team that's deep at centre

i just asking myself after the montreal-ducks trade. Who win's the deal? And do Smith-pelly have the potential to become a top 6 winger? Like a Wayne Simmonds?

Too early to know who wins this deal it was a good "hockey deal" though.i would hope he develops into a Simmonds type but I don't think he will.he hasn't really been a big scorer at any level thus far.3rd line grinder who can chip in offensively and possible a temporary 2nd line option if injuries hit will most likely be his ceiling.
2.) Not even close. A steal by MTL
3.) I hope Sekac lights it up with Getzlaf and Perry
