I don't think the Flames would want Yandle because that would affect Brodie's development and chemistry with Giordano.

I don't think the Leafs are interested in going that far away from the playoff picture. Plus, I think the Leafs would lose that deal BECAUSE they have such a crappy prospect development system lol.

I think Nonis did really well considering that everyone knew Franson and Santorelli were unlikely to re-sign. When teams have that kind of leverage on you, you'd be lucky to walk away with a 3rd rounder.

I highly doubt the Leaf will trade Gardiner, mainly because he hasn't reached his 300 games in the NHL as a defense-man. Everyone knows he hasn't reached his full potential yet and the Leafs aren't going to be good for a while, so why don't we just keep and develop him?
