Not happening. Sure, JVR is great, but PAP and Polak are not nearly enough to convince Anaheim into making that deal.
Andersen is a #1 Goalie, Fowler is a future #2/ 3, and Silfverberg is probably etched in to be a career middle 6 player (though, likely a 2nd liner)
One could only dream.

That doesn't get tampa to bite on an in division trade nor would they have the cap. Bozak would have a tough time cracking the lineup and Tampa already has too much money tied up in players in the bottom 6. JVR is good but also injured right now. Polak would be bottom pair or scratched. Not enough for Drouin and a 1st even if they take back Carle.

Bozak is useless for Tampa; too much cap- would be a 3rd/ 4th liner- no point in Tampa taking 4.5 million in a useless player. JVR may be equal to Drouin, but still I would trade JVR for more prospects and picks over just Drouin. Polak would be a good injury replacement, but still; not enough for an extra first round pick. No from Tampa Bay because of the amount given up, but I would prefer to keep JVR.

Are kidding? Drouin is level to JVR, what would make you say that. Drouin hasn't even proved yet that he is capable of playing in the nhl, it's a risk for teams that are trading for him.

By your guys view no prospect is worth anything. Which frankly isn't true. Lots of players who have yet to make the nhl have value and are in demand. And Drouin rate numbers are good in the nhl. Scores very well 5 on 5 but when your linemates have usually been Boyle/ Morrow/ Brown/ Condra your not getting a lot of help in the offensive zone.

He is having a good year for a 3 liner. But he's gettng paid $5.25 per year for the next three years. Why would anyone want to acquire a player that gets paid that much and is on pace to put up 27pts. I'd say he has negative value.

Yes I do know, but new team might play better and score more goals. Leafs can retain salary but really trade makes since for both teams. But Really Drouin will end up on a western team.

Have we forgotten the Lupul/ Phaneuf/ Cuthbert thing already? There were reports that Lupul and Phaneuf got in a fist fight before the whole TSN thing which only gave it credibility. Those are distractions teams don't want from overpayed injury prone 4th liners.

Have we forgotten that none of us are in the locker room and that reports are simply rumours? Obviously i don't know anything of the sort, but it seems very far fetched that it actually occurred and even more so that phaneu and lupul actually got into a fight.

As Leaf fan why can't we just trade Kessel for straight up picks. Do we need young players from teams? Yes it would be nice but a 1st a 2nd round pick won't bad either.
