Marleau might not be what he once was but the guy can still put up 50 points. Not giving him to you just for MTL depth players. If he gets dealt it's for prospects over the summer or someone else who can play in our top-six.

San Jose is playing well and Marleau has three points in his last 14 games. He is 36 and has a contract hit this year and next of 6.6 million, Not sure what you think you're getting for him ProDepth but I guarantee its not even close to what you think it is.

First isn't horribly unfair but Chicago would probably so no since they just signed him long term. The second one is too much coming from Minny. It would have to be something more like Brodin for Eberle and one or two second round picks.

The point of moving Carle is mainly cap relief. Seriously retaining him doesn't help that. That package isn't all that desirable either.

If you want Carle to be retained, then that deal doesn't go through FOR SURE. Plus, I don't think TB would be looking to add an older dman with a 5.5 million cap hit (Edler) for Drouin. Theyd probably be looking at a young dman who could be a nice fit (they asked Ottawa bout Ceci, OTT refused) .

Second trade, New jersey could definetly get at least a 2nd round pick for Stempniak, who is at about what, 35 points?! They wouldn't be looking at a player with negative value, who just passed waivers (Higgins) and some fourth line grinder who is useless.

We wouldn't trade Nuge for Edler and not in the division probably. We also wouldn't trade Eberle for Staal and we don't need first rounders. I also think Rienhart+ is more valuable to the Oil than Drouin.

I would do Edler for Draisaitl but no chance on this one.
