-Konecny
Tanev is an underrated defender in the league but he would easily slide into the top 2 pairing of philly considering andrew macdonald is their first pairing RHD. Vancouver wouldn't mind a young player like konecny and considering the price for defenders in the nhl today, this trade could go through. Philly should also continue their playoff push as they can't rebuild considering the fact they have giroux, voracek, simmonds etc. they could still do damage in the playoffs next year. And giving up a piece of their future that is only playing 4th line for a top 2 defender (on their team) should be okay considering they have other young players coming up as well.

What a joke. Your characterization of Philly's usage of Konecny and AMac is very selective and not representative of the entire season. AMac is not a NHL player, despite Hakstol's usage; everybody knows this Gudas is much better and is RHD. Konecny mostly played on the second line before injury and benching (and is controversial as well) . Saying AMac is a top pair and best RHD and Konecny as a 4th line is a joke.
We need all the scoring we can get and Konecny is our best prospect in this regard. We have excellent D prospects and not enough scoring so why would we trade scoring for D?
Keep dreaming about getting Konecny.

Not a chance.
Tanev is a great player but I've been high on Konecny since before he was drafted. He's going to be a BIG player for years. I foresee him being Marchand-esque soon. Philly won't do that.

Idk I get what your saying but I don't think that's the type of trade benning would make considering how little he values his younger players. Also Tanev isn't phillys top priority I think they need another scorer for Giroux before another Dman.

The canucks can only retain one salary next year due to the hansen trade. Tomas plekanec is just there for cap reasons and probably doesn't have much value.

Another year at 10.5 million for two guys that'll get Montreal goals isn't bad. I think it's far fetched and this might not be the perfect trade but I think it's a good fit.

Not bad but Vancouver doesn't want or need or want Plekanec but what's his contract like? If he had 1 year left we could move him at deadline or something, I'd probably pull the trigger from Vancouver pending on if we could move Plekanec for sure. Loved Gallagher on the Giants and would love for him to be in the Nucks.

Plekanec has one year on his deal and he is only there for cap reasons so mtl can take his contract.

Good trade, Toronto barely gave up any valuable assets and they bring in a guy that can fill out the top six, while helpping out Van. Toronto can't just fix all their problems with one move, there have to be tiny pieces as well.

why would the jets trade two of their best young defensmen for a downgrade defensemen and wingers who don't even fit with their plan.
