Unless Montreal truly wants to get rid of Subban (which they are not), this would be rejected immediately. A pick doesn't guarantee that the young player will make it big in the NHL. Proof? First rounders: Yakupov, Patrik Stefan, Rick DiPietro, Brian Lawton, Gord Kluzak and Alexandre Daigle were all busts. It's much worse with the 4th overall picks.
Unless Taylor Hall is part of the package, Montreal will never accept it. The bottom line is simple. You don't trade a player like Subban without Montreal coming out of the trade as a clear winner.

I just noticed that Montreal is trying to trade for Cam Fowler which tells me that if they get him, PK will be packing for sure.
If it happens, then your trade could work if Edmonton replaces Hall for Draisaitl.
It will all depend on Montreal success in getting Fowler today.

A rumor is all it is. Unless you can prove that Bergevin actually made such an offer, it needs to go in file 13.
As for Subban, he will be traded if the Habs gains from the trade. That's why Bergevin is taking all calls.

Don't see Chicago moving Seabrook. They're defence would be one of the worst if Keith or Hjalmerson get hurt or suspended, which happens to both. Also think Seabrook is a bit too old to be a target for the Oilers. should target someone like Barrie, Trouba or Dumba.
