It would probably have to be a better prospect than Leivo but it definitely an interesting thought. It adresses both teams needs (although the leafs would prefer a RHD) in defense and depth up front.

Leafs have NHL depth at RHD?! Where? Lol they must be hiding. Their Right side is Nikita zaitsev, looks promising from khl, worlds and World Cup but has never played an NHL game. Frankie corrado, got in a few games last year, looked out of place in most of them, but young and can skate. And Roman polak. I don't see why a team like that can't use a RHD.

Kapanen can be a good middle six NHL player I would think. But yeah, when you're trading a real good player at 22 years old and plays a highly sought after position in Trouba, you need guys that, atleast have a great chance of being a star coming back.

i like this deal, maybe anaheim adds a 3rd round pick or something but looks fair in my opinion. toronto is rebuilding so gets a good young player that is nhl ready, anaheim stacks up their top 6. the only thing i'd be concerned about would be does it fit in anaheim's cap?

Maybe a deal around Fowler for JVR? I can't see Ducks moving a young, cost controlled, defencemen that's ready to step into the NHL this year. Out of all the Dcks prospects/ NHL D i'd say both Lindholm and Theodore are not for conversation.

Nyi is a good team so they get a good #2 center to help them win this year. I think barzel will be good but maybe not a number 2 center good on a competitive team this year maybe he could play the wing on the 2nd line where Strome would have been.

everyone talks about the leafs need for an rhd. we have Ziatsev, Carrick, Corrado and lol Polak. sure it would be great to have another top 4 rhd but its not a must. both Ziatsev and Carrick have top 4 potential if not top 2 (zaitsev more) . and if the leafs would have to give up gardiner or whatever to get him it just isn't worth it imo.

Yes parayko as a rookie played 2nd and 3rd line duty during last season. He also saw pp pk time he was playing over 20 mins a night towards the end of season and into playoffs. He is a stud he is big he is fast and he gas a wicked slap shot.
