Edmonton offseason:

Eberle for (mtl) Galchenyuk and 2nd rnd pick

This trade works for both sides

Mtl gets a productive winger to play on there first line for some much needed scoring

Edmonton has been trying to find someone to play with yak to make him as productive as he should be and galchenyuk and yak played on a line in jr for the Sarnia sting where they had great chemistry. This will likely make both players more productive and could be a scary line in the future as they develop. And a second round pick.

Draisitl for (pit) Maata, dumoulin and bennett

This trade also helps both sides

Pitsburgh gets a much needed elite centerman prospect

Edmonton gets a young stud defender in maata, a solid defense prospect in dumoulin and a promising young skilled gritty forward in bennette

Lines

Bennette-Mcdavid-Hall
Yak-RNH-galchenyuk
Percell-Lander-Pouliot
Fraser-Roy-Klinkhammer

Maata-Nurse
Dumoulin-Klefbom
Schultz-Marincin/Aulie

Eberle isn't worth Gal and a 2nd. Possibly a straight-across trade, but I doubt MTL would do it anyway.

And Pitts doesn't need a center prospect. Crosby, Malkin, Sutter is a pretty solid trio. Can't see them moving Maatta either, he is their best young Dman and it's the defense that needs work in Pittsburgh.

chirp. if bergiven got a call from chirelli saying hey, how bout gally for eberle? you don't think bergiven would say yes and hang up without question you're kidding yourself.

gally has done next to nothing with every opportunity

3.) 07 Jun 2015 21:03:10
Ovie This trade is worth nothing galchenyuk has made the more point of the 2012 class never are we going to trade for eberle with chucky!
The only one on one would be with hall

4.) 07 Jun 2015 21:24:55
Maata is the only real improvement to the team and it's unlikely they trade him

5.) 07 Jun 2015 21:25:40
I dunno, Ovie. Eberle is a quality winger and Gal hasn't exploded out of the gates but has been pretty decent thus far and he's also a center. Gal and a 2nd is definitely an overpayment but straight-across might be valid. Thing is, I'm sure MTL is looking to slot Gal into the 1/2 C position in a year or two once Plekanec ages and slows down. C is a valuable position and I don't see MTL giving him up that easily.

Besides, what does Edm need with another C? They barely have room for Draisaitl at the moment.

I get your point tho, Ovie. It's a tough call.
I like that there are a least a couple people with hockey smarts on this board. And you're a leafs fan too! Whoda thunk that was possible? :P

6.) 07 Jun 2015 22:10:39
If i'm mtl, I keep galchenyuk over eberle

7.) 07 Jun 2015 22:29:13
I would like to see the Oilers use their 16th pick to acquire Sharp from the Hawks and sign Soderberg. Would make for a more complete offense.

Hall-McDavid-Eberle
Sharp-Nuge-Yakupov
Puoliot-Soderber-Purcell
Hendricks-Gordon-Pitlick/Fraser

8.) 08 Jun 2015 00:43:45
Chirp. You are right. Eberle isn't worth Galchenyuk and a second. Eberle is worth a PILE more. Whatcha got there is called in most circles a "good start".

9.) 08 Jun 2015 03:01:34
Gally.os garage man had done nothing to this point. Montreal will pay a lot more to get eberle.

Try fucale, tinordi, 1st in 2015

The reaso. Of ghe trade is so gally co.e and playes with yak

11.) 11 Jun 2015 02:29:41
Eberle only had 4 more goals than Gally last season, and he comes with huge cap hit and is small and not potential #1 centre. how does this help Habs?

Arizona off season

I don't think anything big will happen in the off season for the coyotes. They have lots off great young players and prospects but they need to develop and continue to rebuild.

Draft
3rd pick Strome
24th pick Jeremy Roy

Trade
Arizona: Letunov, Dvorak and 2nd rnd
Chicago: Sharp

This trade makes sense for both sides. Arizona gets a solid player who also brings a veteran presence to help the young players during the rebuild. Chicago gets two skilled promising prospects and a second round pick. Also Chicago dumps sallarie.

Continue developing in jr and the ahl:
-Samuelsson
-Rieder
-Macinnis
-dauphin

Lines
Duclair-Strome-Domi
Perlini-gagner-doan
Erat-arcobello-Sharp
Moss-Vitale-Mcginn

Ekman Larson -Roy
Gormley-stone
Murphy-Moore

Smith Visentin

There will be better offers out there for Sharp probably. Maybe change seccond to your late 1st. I think a good comparison would be the Kesler trade.

2.) 07 May 2015 17:33:37
so you trade somewhat solid picks and prospects that could help with a rebuild for an aging but still effective winger and then you throw him on the third line. doesn't make much sense. With that top six they would finish in last for the next couple of years. I also don't know where you put Boedker

3.) 09 May 2015 01:08:33
I have a bad felling about ari pick I think that they would want to go for marner

1.) 28 Apr 2015 22:58:16
so let's see the Art Ross Trophy winner who only has a cap hit of 5.75 and a 35-40 goal scorer who makes 6.0 per year for a really good center who makes 9.5 million a 20-goal scorer who is a UFA next year and late draft picks in a draft a year from now. Give your head a shake.

2.) 28 Apr 2015 23:04:37
You don't just trade players for the sake of trading them

3.) 28 Apr 2015 23:26:49
zero percent chance benn or seguin get traded, nevermind both.

4.) 29 Apr 2015 00:59:01
@Oilers_11 I didn't just put it up for fun. I put it up because the pens need to trade malkin because he nedds a new start because he is not playing to his potential and the pens need a productive second line

5.) 29 Apr 2015 08:03:18
calm down, malkin played poorly because he was hurt. in the reg season he was just over a point a game, in a season where the art ross is going to a guy that got 87 points being over a ppg, malkin is, leaves him still in very elite company.

6.) 29 Apr 2015 16:04:51
I'm thinking more on the dallas side why would they trade the two best players away? Ducks wouldn't be trading Perry and Getzlaf anytime soon

7.) 30 Apr 2015 03:17:30
Oh sorry did dallas make the playoffs?? Trade them both if it helps the team get better then better off. And what's the point of leading the league in scoring if your team is at the bottom of the nhl standings TS.is garbage. Now maybe Dalles will learn what Boston did. That he is cancer to any team

8.) 01 May 2015 10:27:08
Dallas more than likely say no.

1.) 29 Apr 2015 07:41:40
No thanks. How do we need Scuderi?!
Already have too many NHl ready Dmen

2.) 30 Apr 2015 14:00:32
Dont we? Hedman, Stralman, Garrison, Coburn, Carle are 5 top 4 defenseman. Plus Sustr, Nesterov, Barberio, Witkowski and soon Koekkoek and DeAngelo who are all more than capable of being a 6th/7th D.
How does TB need a D? Anyone might explain that to me?

Why would Arizona get rid of duclair? He has great chemistry with domi.
