Ken Holland has recently made some rather disappointing deals recently and the Red Wings have more than enough forwards for the upcoming season. I believe it was a mistake to sign Quincey but I also believe Babcock had a say in this and kept him because he saw something which the fans probably didn't. They are considering a trade which will take place in the near future. I doubt we'll aquire Myers because the asking price is too much for the Red Wings.

Toronto trades Franson
Detroit trades 3rd rp 2015 Kindl and Ben Marshell(prospect D)
1.) Overpayment for Franson. 3rd round pick or Kindl, that's about it.
2.) I think Franson could fetch a 2nd maybe
3.) It's believable, but very unlikely. Franson looks good in Toronto. In my opinion, the Red Wings look very good on offense and defense, provided they avoid long-term injuries. No need to trade or test free agency. Still, trade is reasonable.
4.) Franson will go to the highest bidder, Kindl and a 2nd to start from Detroit just to get into the Franson game. Franny is 6'5 and does everything pretty good, that's very hard to find. Leafs should send him furthest away or lock him up for 7-8 years.
5.) Or the Leafs can stop signing players to lengthy contract. Just a thought.

Rumor is that Red Wings are offering Stephen Weiss, Johan Franzen and a second round pick for Tyler Myers.
Red Wings lose a lot of cap and Buffalo gets more offence. Not promising forwards but are capable of putting stats.
Wings would free up enough cap to land a top line right wing and resign forwards at long term contracts with good pay.

Detroit Trades: Sheahan & 1st round 2014
Buffalo Trades: Tyler Myers
Wings add a solid Defenceman to fill there need. Myers is signed for just about forever with a deal that gives him a cap-hit of $5.5-million until 2018-2019. Coming off of an okay year on a bad Buffalo team, Myers will be looking to rebound to his rookie of the year form.
Also, Sheahan will be replaced by Andersson in the 3rd or 4th line. Have to give someone of value to land Myers.
1.) Add a third or something, not quite enough, really close tho
2.) I agree and think the value is thete
But I bet Ken Holland offers 1st + Abdelkader instead
3.) Doubt Detroit would trade Sheahan, but possible

Sign St�phane Robidas 2 Years 3 - 3.5m
Resign Dekeyser, Tatar and Sheahan (9-11m total).
Resign Alfie 3. 5-4m 1 year
Let go Quincey, Monster, Legwand, Bert, Samuelsson, Cleary (will go to flyers).

Sources say that Detroit need a right wing to play along side Zetterberg and datsyuk. Wings will look to sign a long term contract and may price him at 6-7m.

Detroit will soon enough have to decide on whether or not they make a deal to find a replacement for Alfie or if they bring someone up, considering that Alfie retire. Do you think they trade or bring up someone like Pulkinen?

Alex Galchenyuk will not get traded.
(for all people adding him in rumors)
1.) Galchenyuk is injury prone, habs can keep him.
2.) So is Crosby and 75% of NHL players, lupul is an ex of injury prone. Galchenyuk missed 15 games maybe, you won't get him cause he is a superstar in the making not cause he is what your jealousy says injury prone
3.) Calling someone injury prone is ridiculously subjective. and people talk about it like it devalues a player by a significant amount, which is just a poor judgement call.
