do you think a Dan Hamhuis for Joffrey Lupul trade could work? The leafs would have to add a bit but considering Van needs scoring and leafs need defence, it makes sense for both teams.
1.) Nope.
Hamhuis plays a full season, Lupul is always injured (even half the time that his is actually playing). Why would Vancouver give up a veteran Dman who can teach the upcoming youth for a hobbled LTIR mainstay? Especially after they just gave up Garrison. Canucks aren't disassembling their d-core any further. Sorry.
2.) Hamhuis is a top pairing defenseman and Olympian the experience that he brings is worth more then what lupul brings. Then you have to add in his skill and what not so no van doesn't do this trade.

To Toronto: Francois Beauchemin (33 years old), 3rd round pick
To Anahiam: Kulemin, Franson, 4th round pick, 2015 6th round pick
1.) Makes no sense in season, maybe ion the offseason but I don't know why Toronto would do it
2.) Why? The Leafs had him and it didn't work out.
