3 Team Trade Proposal.

Anaheim
Dermott (Tor)
2nd Round Pick 2022 (Tor)

San Jose
NRitchie (Tor)

Toronto
EKane (SJ)

In this proposal Toronto would send NRitchie to San Jose with EKane plus 50% of his remaining contract retained by The Sharks going to Anaheim.

Than Toronto would send Dermott and their 2nd Round Pick 2022 to The Ducks for EKane plus 50% of his remaining contract.

Toronto would get EKane at 1.75m a year for the remainder of his Contract.

San Jose ends the EKane soap opera and get an NHL Player out of it, Anaheim adds to their Defence getting Dermott plus a 2nd Rounder, and The Leafs get a Top 6 LW that might backfire, but I believe it's worth the risk in the end, plus Cap Space with Mikheyev and Mrazek about to return to fit both in.

Toronto is rolling, I do not want anything to do with the mess known as Evander Kane, especially after the video that surfaced on ig. No matter his cap hit, I don’t want that type of persona anywhere near this teAm.

I agree with Topshelf, if it ain't broke, don't fix it.

I agree with topshelf. Great player but no team needs the drama.

What are the Leafs really giving up here? NRitchie even though he gives his all and is a good person in general doesn't have the speed to keep up with the forwards on this Team, Dermott and Liljegren are flipping back and fourth as the 6th Defenceman so one can be traded, rebuilding Teams stack draft picks, while contenders use draft picks for trades.
Now I get EKane is a roll of the dice, and if it doesn't work out it's still worth the gamble with how good he is as a hockey player on the ice.
Worst case it doesn't work but The Leafs still clear up Cap Space in the end anyways, so they win that way if not both ways.

Evander Kane could be equated to a fast growing cancer. He could destroy the peace, harmony and positive energy in the locker room and significantly damage everyone around him. That’s a pretty big risk to take with a close group that’s already winning.

It’s not a risk as to what he can do on the ice, it’s the damage and problems he creates off of it. Sam Jose isn’t trading him because he isn’t good anymore, it’s because NONE of his teammates want him back. That’s Scary!

Everything Trevor just said. I really don’t think the leafs should trade a Dman pinball. Nothing wrong with having 7 nhl caliber guys, every team battles injuries. No need to do anything right now. If they’re still playing well near the deadline, I’d be ok with this team in the playoffs. Yes a top LW would be nice, definitely not Kane.
