*Canucks retain 50% of both Horvat and Boeser's contract.

Would completely change The Group upfront for The Leafs to give them a great potential run in the playoffs.
It fits just under the cap with a 22 man roster for The Leafs.

Both Chicago and Vancouver looking to make some trades for their futures, and these proposals do that.

Canucks are probably not resigning Horvat, they have been looking to unload Boeser all season long, any trade The Canucks make trading Horvat or Boeser they will have to retain salary as all The Teams trading for either or both in my proposal will have no cap to fit them in.

So Horvat is on an expiring contract the main player in my proposal so what are The Canucks getting?

Engvall is added for cap reasons and being himself on an expiring contract he is more a throw in, now Holmberg is proving to be a good young centre getting better every game, Woll is killing it in The AHL and is a Top Goaltending Prospect something Vancouver doesn't have, Niemela is also the future but he might develop into a Top Offensive Defenceman, and even though yes the 1st Rounder is a later pick it's still a 1st Rounder.

I see you undervaluing The Leaf Players as these aren't stiffs.

Great first deal. Could definitely see it happening. That second one though won't do it. Canucks may be trying to unload them, but they also aren't going to get low balled for them. Horvat and Boeser will both likely fetch a first rounder, decent level prospect or roster player, and another draft pick if salary is being retained. Horvat at $2.9mill would probably cost an additional 2nd rounder, maybe even a 1st and Boeser at $3.3mill (with a few more years left on his contract) isn't going to be cheap either. probably an additional 1st rounder.

I think your good on the Domi one, however, the Vancouver one isn't what is gonna get the trade done.
I keep hearing about this Knies prospect you have, he sounds like a good one. Canucks are gonna want him, your 1st although has some value, will probably be between 28 to 32, so not all that exciting.

Most times teams overpay way to much at the deadline.
With the way the Leafs have been playing, I honestly wouldn't do to much. IMO ( and it pains me to say this) . they are the scariest team right now. If im picking a favorite to win. I think the Leafs might be it.
