Toronto Trades
McMann
Holl
Woll (AHL)
Niemela (SML)
1st Round Pick 2023

Vancouver Trades
Kuzmenko
LSchenn

Leafs looking for that last trade for their playoff push, adding a Top 6 Winger and a solid Defensive Defenceman to probably lineup with Morgan Rielly, this is what The Leafs should be looking at.

Vancouver stocks their prospects in this proposal, Canucks aren't going anywhere this season and need a plan to help them in the future, and this proposal does that for them.

(This is the worst batch of Homer Deals in one day that I can remember! )

Chickenfoot
Holl is the only Player on an expiring contract going to Vancouver, Kuzmenko and LSchenn are both UFAs after this season.
Wouldn't Vancouver be smart to get assets before it's too late?
My proposal is not stiff prospects going to The Canucks, plus they get a 1st Rounder out of it.
If you are a Leaf hater I can see how this proposal could put them to a much better place come playoff time, and if you hate Toronto you wouldn't want them improving with enough Cap to even improve more before the deadline if this proposal did happen.

PINBALL - quantity doesn’t equal quality, and you have to drop your default reply that people that disagree with you must be “Leaf Haters”. It sounds childish, and you say it too often.

So essentially, a top 6 ahl forward, a 3rd pair dman on an expiring deal, a B- goalie prospect, a B+ Dman prospect, and a late 1st

for

A rental Dman who is a solid 3rd or fringe 2nd pair option on a value contract (probably worth close to a 2nd rounder by himself) and 0.9PPG rental on a 950k AAV contract.

Kuzmenko's value as a rental is veeeerrrryy high, considering he's such a on a good deal. Other teams that want to make a push in the playoffs that are cap-strapped will probably bid for him, Oilers, TB, Vegas, Seattle, Calgary, just to name a few.

Adding medium to low value pieces with the 1st rounder doesn't cut it. Vancouver will have better offers only for Kuzmenko. Just look at what similar top 6 rentals have gotten for returns in the last few years, and add to the fact that Kuzmenko's contract is easily manageable under the cap which makes him an even better rental option for most teams.

Chickenfoot and matador12 devaluing The Leafs in my proposal once again, look up Woll for example and say with a straight face he is a B- Prospect, any 1st Rounder isn't worth anything either according to you both, McMann another one no potential there either and Niemela doesn't have a chance to ever be in The NHL.
Would love to see into the future and how wrong you both are in what The Leafs are trading, only reason they would do it is because they are close to glory.

PINBALL. what's with the pitty party? There's no whining in hockey talk, you come off like a child who didn't get their way.

Kuzmenko is a major goal-scorer, and if he's available, he'll be expensive in trade capital.

Schenn is rumoured to be on his way back to TB, and even at his age, he's a decent playoff D and will bring back a decent return.

I have many, many leaf fans for friends, and I would be delighted to see them win in their lifetime. But they are realistic. and your trade proposals usually are WAY off. Agree or disagree, try being a little more realistic and lot less sensitive when people disagree with you. It's embarrassing.

For once I actually agree with NotACasual lol.

On a side note though Casual, how bout an update on our preseason bet lol. Standings part still slightly in your favour but seems I was right so far about our Top 6 being stronger than your Top 6 huh? Lol Ottawa > Calgary. The only part we can't get a resolution for this year due to contract situation is Formenton vs Dube.
