Very complex but something Dubas is a genius at, after this proposal Simmonds will be loaned to The Marlies, Hunt, Clifford and Mete will be taken off The Leafs Cap to keep Toronto under The Cap.

In my respectful opinion, I think the McCabe trade is way too overvalued and Toronto is giving up way too much.

If Kane waives his NTC he'll bring a tidy return on his own. Ditto for Toews, who seems to be a bigger question mark on whether he decides to move.

No need to add to the feedback of yesterday's version of this deal, except that it's impossible to ignore you refer to Dubas at being a "genius".

If "genius" means "can't win a playoff series" then I think you are entirely correct. (But if it implies some level of competence as an NHL GM then that's about as realistic as this trade proposal. )

I suspect there are many on this page who have as much or more education. I would count myself among them. Your snarky response notwithstanding, I see no signs of genius in KD other than the thick black eyewear.

I've read that Kane has stated it's NYR or TOR. Davidson is either going to take a low offer just to do right by Kane or he's not trading him.
