Very risky play by Canucks as that is a lot of the heart, soul and key guys leaving. As a Canucks fan, I am concerned about them becoming the Oilers; but it does seem the remaining guys + Monahan would help sustain a big turnover.

I agree on moving Monahan, especially to clear Cap Space for next year, but I don't think CGY is interested in either player you've proposed and especially wouldn't include Pelletier either; that would be a crazy stupid move.
I get Pearson has a connection to Sutter and the Cup, but where would CGY use him? Flames need a Better Playmaking 2C to replace Monahan (Max Domi, Pavel Zacha or Calle Jarnkrok), a Bigger, Better and Stronger Bottom-6 replacement for Dube, like Lawson Crouse or perhaps another Right Shot RW so Coleman can play the LW (although I do like him better at RW) . And Finally, a Better Puck Moving LD (Ryan Graves, Jacob Chychrun or Mark Giordano)

As for Calgary, they might give you Monahan for those 2 guys just to save a little cap and flip one or both of them for something else but there's no way you'd be getting Pelletier too.
The Flames would have to seriously consider it if it was Miller or Horvat coming to Calgary instead of those two.

KINGS won't give all that up for those two. Maybe take out Byfield and it's close.
The NJD deal isn't bad. Holtz is the only high end piece. Honestly, if I'm VAN, I am not sure I want to do that. Garland is very good and DiPietro has upside. Holtz looks to be a good sniper but isn't seen as an elite player. Zacha has his issues, Bahl will be a 3rd pairing D and Foote is a bottom 6 player.
Flames deal isn't bad. Replace Dickinson for Pearson and it's not bad. That is huge cap relief for Calgary. Any idiot thinking that doesn't work clearly doesn't get much. Flames have huge cap issues coming up and will need to give extra to deal Monahan (you're delusional if you think Monahan is worth his current deal).

Flames Cap Issues aren’t that huge, they still have time and option to clear the necessary Cap Space to re-sign all the FA’s they need and want too. Focus right now is winning the Cup given the year and momentum they’re having.
No disagreement here that Monahan is not the player he was or is living up to his contract, but he’s young and can still recover. There’s been a lot worse contracts out there, but he’s the Top player I want moved. Are there any Teams that would be interested in him?, like Seattle, Ottawa, Arizona, Columbus, Vancouver, Buffalo, Boston, Montreal, Dallas or Philly? I figure he’s worth a 2nd but it’s hard to tell.

Entirely based on last night's speculation that VAN was looking at Zacha. I don't get why. NJ also wants a player that has cost certainty in return. These are the only two guys who are still young and not expensive.

To me, Zacha has no value and I wouldn't want him at all. RFA and then a FA the year after. He's ...what...25? Makes no sense. Maybe Jim Benning is posting things he'd like to do?

I don’t think he’s worth what @MoxNix does but I see why he’s interested in having him on the Flames and for the price, I don’t know what else might be available that would be better in terms of Young, Good and Affordable. Maybe Dylan Strome but that would be a Gamble.
