People may not agree with me but IMO to much for johansen that is around fair value for coburn but doubt philly does that cus everyone overvalue players and lastly edm is trying to go forward so why trade nhl players for picks

To much for Johansen, probably not enough for Coburn and Petry doesn't get you a first IMO

IMO the Oilers would have to over pay to get Johansen, but I would do it. I would even add another prospect to get it done.

Imagine having RNH and Johansen as your 1-2 punch. Then have Draisaitl/Lander and Gordon for the 3-4 spots.

Also they would have to trade Petry for picks because they wouldn't have the cap room to trade for more players. You only trade away NHL players when you don't have room for them. And the Petry trade is only if the other trades happen.

I like how oiler fans always offer 2016 instead of 2015 picks. If you can't win with all the early round talent you've accumulated the past 5+ years then there's really no hope at all. And BTW, Gernat and a 2nd doesn't come close to Coburn.

Withe the new draft lottery format more teams have a chance at mcdavid so why wouldn't u trade a 2016 pick instead of a 2015 pick which is also a very strong draft
