Ryan Johansen. This contract dispute has been horribly handled. There is bad blood between the team, the agent, and the player at the age of 21 years old. This situation will not end well for any side. I could see the agent losing his job, the Blue Jackets losing a valuable player, and making Johansen feel out of place/unwanted.

Now assuming they situation does not get better, they will trade Johansen. Possibly a sign and trade because GMs don't tend to offer sheet players.

If the were to trade Johansen, they will get a decent return, not what it should be, but what they can get. A 21 year old player, top-line center, 30+ goals, and 30 assists on the resume. He will be wanted by nearly every team in the league. The teams with the best chance to acquire him. Would be.

Edmonton, Toronto, Vancouver, Carolina, Nashville, Arizona, and Winnipeg.

These teams have a higher chance of acquiring him do to the fact that they have the assets to acquire him.

The asking price? A quality draft pick (Top 15), a young forward (preferably center), and a Top 4 defender. This would address needs of Columbus, considering they won't get full value for Johansen.

TOR: Johansen
CBJ: Kadri, Franson, 1st Round Pick, 3rd Round Pick

EDM: Johansen
CBJ: Yakupov, Klefbom, 1st Round Pick

VAN: Johansen
CBJ: Gaunce, Jensen, Corrado, 2nd Round Pick

CAR: Johansen
CBJ: E.Staal, 2nd Round Pick

NSH: Johansen
CBJ: Wilson, Josi, 1st Round Pick

ARZ: Johansen, 3rd Round Pick
CBJ: Domi, Yandle, 1st Round Pick

WNG: Johansen
CBJ: Kane, Little, 2nd Round Pick

Any suggestions?

Ottawa would be a better fit than those cause they have ryan to trade the other way

2.) 18 Sep 2014
Wow, you think rather highly of ryjo.

Your value for each trade is extremely different from team to team.

Gaunce, Jensen, Corrado, 2nd does not equal Kane, Little, and a 2nd.

Just in general, your trade proposals are quite off from each other.

Just cause this guy wants a fortune for his contract doesn't make him more appealing. Infact he clearly have player-managment issues and seems to be a huge problem for cbj. I don't see other teams offering as much as they would for him because of these contact conflicts

1st off Kadri has better numbers look at the stats they don't lie.
Then you want to add Franson a 1st and a 3rd as well?
This isn't Crosby or Stamkos here people.

100% agree with what ace said.
RJ won't be traded, I'm sure they would rather take an offer sheet and get like 3 1st round picks

RyJo wants 6+mil a year, all deals a too much for a one season 33 goal output. Take away all the 1st round picks. Then it's framed-up a bit better IMO.

Value won't be equal from team to team ace. Because there are different players on each team.

Using the Vancouver and Winnipeg trades: Vancouver adds more because there isn't a piece close to the skill level of Johansen

More like:
Bozak, franson, C. Brown

Johansen

3 1st round pick would mean he signs an offer sheet in the 8-9 mil range or somewhere around there anyways. no way any team is that dumb for what could be a one season wonder. not saying he is, but there have been guys like that before and there surely will again
