Cory Conacher and Matt Donovan

To Islanders:
5th round pick

Blue Jackets could use some depth due to their injury problems. Isles clear some roster spots for Grabner's return.

I agree. as a NYI fan, I think that would work. what do you think in adding Strait rather than Donovan? Strait probably has more value (not buch) but has played half the year and Donovan hasn't played since pre-season.

Seeing as Cappy hates on young guys and pretty much refused to play Donovan, I think he's more likely to go. Plus Cappy and Snow love Strait, for some ungodly reason

Not sure CBJ would want Conacher, he is a fringe NHL player at best and they can easily play some younger guys from the AHL and get better results.

Donovan is not going to play in NY, but he does have some upside. I would hope snow can get at least a 3rd for him. Would not surprise me to see him play well somewhere else.

As for Strait, just cut him. He is lost on the ice every time he is out there. The team would be better served to have Mayfield or Czuchman as the 7th d-man right now.
