Addresses Toronto's needs of a top-six forward. Addresses the Fluers needs for a defender.

If the Flyers did this, they'd still need a defender. Franson is a glass cannon. Would he improve the team, yes. But he's just not the right Dman for Philly.

Franson is playing really well right now. They should keep and sign him to a new contract. And trade Gardiner. But not for a top six forward, for a DEFENSEMEN!

Toronto's biggest need is at D, they don't need a top-6 forward as badly as they need stability on the backend.

does toronto really even need another forward? sure, there's a 2nd line rw spot that's fille by the likes of clarkson and santorelli, but toronto is 4th in the league in goas I believe.

as the others have sad,the leafs need a top 4 defensemem.

LMFAO! You crazy? Any trade regarding a leaf player automatically consists of overpayment. Leafs must add 2 first round picks and retain all of Franson contract.

The Leafs will move Franson. Moving a defender for a defender doesn't make a whole lot of sense unless it's an upgrade.

If they expanded the trade to include one of the Fylers defenders I think it would be good.
