Some random trades, so that my leaf buddys have something to hate on:

TBL trades: G Kristers Gudlevskis, D Matt Carle, F JT Brown, 2016 2nd
EDM trades: F Nail Yakupov, D Jeff Petry

Explanation: EDM gets a good goalie prospect, a D upgrade over Petry in Matt Carle, another high pick and JT Brown. Brown might not be big, but he plays a good physical game, especially in the corners. I think he's a good fir for the West, plus he can actually play if given the opportunity.
TB gets Yakupov, who needs a change of scenery. Yzerman likes to work with russians (see Detroit) and also drafted russians Namestnikov and Vasilevski. Petry is for cap reasons and as a 1-season replacement for Carle, since he(Petry) is a UFA at years end.
-------------------------------------------------------------------
EDM trades F David Perron, D Justin Schultz, F Nail Yakupov
CBJ trade F Artem Anisimov, D Ryan Murray, 2015 4th

Explanation: The Jackets get wingers for their centers. With Horton's career likely being done, they need wingers. With the Jackets season going down, they seem poised to have a chance to land one of the two great centers available. Actually there are much more like Barzal, Konency, etc.
Anisimov is big and fills the #2C hole for EDM. Schultz needs a change of scenery, so he partially replaces Murray in Columbus, while Murray fills the need for a defensemen in EDM.
--------------------------------------------------------------------
PIT trades: D Brian Dumoulin, F Beau Bennett, 2015 4th
CBJ trade: F Nick Foligno, 2016 2nd

Explanation: PIT needs wingers, since Kunitz is hurt and Dupuis likely out for the year. Don't think Comeau will be a good long-term solution. Foligno has a fantastic season thus far, but will be a FA at year's end. I think he could have good chemistry with eiher Crosby or Malkin. Columbus receives 2 prospects they can continue to build around next season and downgrades its pick two rounds.
--------------------------------------------------------------------
DET trades: F Gustav Nyquist
WSH trades: D Mike Green, F Evgeny Kuznetsov, cond. 2016 3rd rd pick if Green does not resign in Detroit.

DET needs a right-shot defenseman, which they get in Green. DET will have a hard time cutting ties with Nyquist, but for Green and Kuznetsov, I think they will. Kuznetsov is struggling with the Caps so far, but I think he definitely has potential. DET seems to be good for russians and I guess he'd like playing alongside Datsyuk. (I know the Caps have Ovechkin, but I'd rather play with Datsyuk, tbh). If Green does not resign, DET get's a 3rd rd pick to equal the talent exchange.
--------------------------------------------------------------------
BUF trades: G Jhonas Enroth, 2015 4th
DAL trades: F Radek Faksa

Explanation: DAL struggles in goal. Lehtonen hasn't been too good, Lindback is just plain awful (believe me, it's true, haha). Enroth has been playing very well in front of a weak defense for the Sabres and could help the Stars getting back on track. The Stars defense is weak, too, but Enroth seems to play better the more shots he faces, so that might be a good fit. The Sabres seem to be interested in acquiring prospects, and Faksa definitely is a good prospect. DAL should be set up the middle with Seguin and Spezza and Eakin (Benn could play C, too), so I think Faksa would have a hard time getting quality minutes.

Really interested in your opinions and very open to contructive criticism ;)

Thanks for reading.

1) can't see Tampa going out for a top 6 foward I mean they are just loaded up front right now. If anything they should move those pieces for a top 4 dman

2) not sure how old he is now but I remember hearing Faska was a high potential prospect. I think he could get more then enroth and a pick.

Besides that though I feel all these trades are fair and reasonable as it meets needs for both teams except maybe the 1st one. Good post anyways. 10x better then 95% of the trades I see on here haha

I'm pretty sure Detroit retains Nyquist and Green signs a new contract with the Caps. I like the others. In the Tampa deal, Bolts should add the 2nd 2015 instead of the 2nd 2016.

3.) 05 Dec 2014
Caps wouldn't trade kuznetsov for nyquist straight up never mind throwing in green. I don't think the pens want a rental winger unless it's for cheap. and dallas could get a comparable goalie to enroth (niemi, reimer) for a cheaper price tag than Faksa

4.) 05 Dec 2014
Your washington and detroit trade is pretty bad. Washington could do a lot better for what they are offering.

5.) 05 Dec 2014
I love the Tampa trade. which probably means it's bad because I'm a huge Tampa fan lol. I just can't see anyone taking on Carles contract or getting much value for him

6.) 05 Dec 2014
Like the 1st trade

2nd trade: I don't think Murray has proved anything. He might be going for lower or not going to be traded. Because if I was a team I wouldn't give up my top 4 defenseman, 2nd/3rd line young winger
2nd line winger (Don't get me wrong Murray can turn out to be a great defenseman)

for a 2nd line center
A defenseman that hasn't proved anything yet. And a 4th.

Artem Anisimov would be a good fit for Edmonton but EDM is overpaying.

Like the 3rd trade

Really Like the 5th trade

Im 50/50 on the 4th trade.

Overall good post.
Would like to see some more in the future.

Trade #1
Good trade, TB I feel would have to retain salary on Carle.

Trade #2
Edmonton gives up too much. I think Yakupov and Murray are pretty close interms of trade value along with Perron and Anisimov. Edmonton might have to add a little more but I think adding Schultz to even the trade out is an overpayment by Edmonton.

Trade #3
Drop the draft picks IMO.

Trade #4
Detroit won't give up Nyquist. Especially for that, Kuznetsov is a good piece and Green is good too but he comes with a really high cap hit and is a UFA as well. I don't think Detroit would send Nyquist away for that gamble on Green.

Trade #5
Good value and Dallas needs a goalie that can win games behind Lehtonen. But if Dallas is going to give up a prospect they'd do it for a Dman before a backup.

Detroit Washington intrigues me but cap is the flaw.

9.) 05 Dec 2014
Detroit is not trading nyquist

10.) 05 Dec 2014
This is just a comparison trade, I am not proposing this.
BUF trades: GK Andrey Makarov, LL Marcus Foligno & 2015 2nd (MIN or NYI, EDM choice)
EDM trades: F Nail Yakupov
Andrey Makarov=>Kristers Gudlevskis (playing in the same league as Gudlevskis, Makarov is a year younger, has a superior SV% and GAA .912, 2.92 V .896, 3.06)
Marcus Foligno>>>JT Brown (Both kill penalties, while Brown is the primary TBL RW but Foligno is a year younger, hits more often 68 v 16, scores more points 55p/155gm v 23p/88g and outweighs Brown by 50 pounds)
2015 2nd=>2016 2nd (neither MIN nor NYI teams will finish higher than TBL)
That should make up for the difference between Carle and Petry. If that was all it took to get Yak, I would think the trade would have been made. I seriously doubt EDM would give Yakupov for what Buffalo would be offering in this trade, so I doubt TBL would get him for what Tampa is offering in the trade you proposed.
