I don't know if this is a fair Phil Kessel deal or not.

To Winnipeg: Phil Kessel
To Toronto: Nick Petan, Mathieu Perraeult, Paul Postma, 1st 2015

Honestly, I don't really think any Kessel deal is fair. Either it's not enough according to Leafs fans or too much according to non-Leafs fans.

A little too much in my opinion. Either way, there’s no chance that this would ever happen. Can’t picture Kessel fitting into Maurice’s team-first system.

People saying Kessel sucks and want him gone, but every team has to give up 4 of their best prospects, 1st round picks, and a lung to get that player who apparently sucks. Unreal.

As jazz said above, it's either hot or cold. The true value is right in the middle.

Kessel is one of the best forwards in the league, coming from a sens fan. would take a lot to get him

^ Pretty every analyst I have heard talk about Kessel's trade value say it's high.

What I will say is that even though his value will be high, it doesn't mean trading him will be easy. I have said this a few times that there are only a handful of teams that will be making a serious push for him. But it doesn't mean Toronto should accept less than what a player like him would demand.
