To Winnipeg: Jacob Markstrom
To Vancouver: 2015 3rd, 2016 3rd

Maybe too much, or too little for Markstrom.
But Markstrom was an elite goalie in Juniors.
If he gets playing time in Winnipeg, and a team that's going to the playoffs, this could be a steal for Winnipeg

This, is a an optional trade:
I think Tampa should move Vasilevsky back to the AHL for development.

To Winnipeg: 2016 2nd
To Tampa Bay: Ondrej Pavelec

I heard a few Winnipeg fans say that they hate Pavelec and he is not consistent. I barely watch the Jets play. So, I don't really know.

Okay, for the VAN trade:

1. VAN won't trade Marky Markstrom except for an exceptional deal.
2. This isn't what they consider an exceptional deal.
3. Markstrom could be their goalie of the future.

Try Higgins and Lack instead, and add a B-level prospect.

Pavelec couldn't grab a 2nd. 2nd round is still a good pick.

Vancouver can afford to wait until his value is higher, then trade Markstrom or Lack , both probably future #1 goalies .

And because he's terrible and inconsistent, that's why SY, one of the smartest GMs in the league, goes and pays a 2nd for him despite having a good starter in Bishop and a more than capable backup in Vasilevski.

I know I said they should go for a backup and I still think it might be better for Vasilevski's development. But they're giving him way more games than I thought they would and he's doing just fine, so I think this could work out.

IF they would go for a backup, it would definitely be a rental and not a guy that has 2 more years left at 4m with TBs not too good looking cap situation.

Just all around bad.
