Just thinking it would be very interesting for Edmonton to move up and snag Provorov or Hanafin, but what would it take?

EDM: 16th overall, Draisaitl
ARI: 3rd overall

Or

EDM: 16th overall, Eberle, Klefbom
NJD: 6th overall

Idk if it's not enough or too much, but if the Oil can get the best forward AND best D-man in the draft they should at least try

He is. Draisaitl went 3rd overall himself, why package 3rd and 16 OA for 3OA a year later? (one additional year of developing)

^ Draisaitl is going to be beaut but they have the nuge and mcdavid going forward making him expendable, as for one additional year of developing hanifin won't need it he can be in the NHL today and that's what edm needs DEFENCE that are ready to play

too much from edmonton on both, and doesn't really make sense for them to offer those packages to move up

Probably because draisatl was part of a weak draft year and would go 6-9 if he was in this years draft

Might consider trading Draisaitl straight-up to a team out east with a pick that could potentially be used to pick a top D prospect like Provorov or Hanifen, especially if the team needed some C depth, but I don't see a reason to add an additional pick or players. Draisaitl will be a very strong C in a year or two, has size and skill, etc. He can be played on the wing if need be, there's no reason to give up further assets in a move like that.

I don't understand how Leon Draisaitl has the same value as Jordan Eberle and Oscar Klefbom??
