Saw a trade rumour someone posted about JVR to WSH and thought I would tweak it a bit:

TOR: JVR and Roman Polak (750 K ret)

WSH: Burakovsky, Orlov, Laich (cap dump), and 2017 conditional 3rd round pick.

*Condition is that if JVR scores 30 goals or Caps reach ECF in 2016 then it's a 2017 2nd round pick.

i wouldn't be very happy with that as a leafs fan.orlov, laich, the pick, and polak don't add up to much at all. so, pretty much burakovsky for jvr, which i'm not a fan of.

Toronto could get more for JVR.

that looks fair for both teams

@Shankar Do you think I should make it a first instead and maybe add a mid level prospect? I wasn't too sure on how much a team should pay for JVR, and I didn't wanna overpay.

Fair for both teams. Wayyy better than the other Caps Leafs deal proposed including JVR a few days ago here

Toronto should defenatly NOT trade JVR, He is an important part of their re build and he has one of the most bargan contracts in the NHL at 4.2 million dollars for the next 3 years.

a first would be fair I guess. I still wouldn't be happy with it if it happened though haha

Wsh has no need, desire, or spot for Polak so No Thanks on that. The rest is a dramatic overpay for JVR so No Thanks on that as well. Wsh will gladly keep their young players and let TO keep rebuilding.

If that's a bargain, what's Hedman at 4m then?

Lol @stickboi I also think that Toronto shouldn't trade JVR as he should be one of the main leaders on TML during this rebuild. I was only tweaking a trade that I saw on this site lol.

Both are good values for their cap hit. But Hedman won't be for much longer, same with JVR for that matter.

Not a bad trade - glad to see at least one top end talent going to Toronto. I am still not convinced TO will trade JVR and for that reason I think any team is going to have to overpay to get him. Whether you can find a team to overpay is the question. So in that respect I would agree that TO could get more for him.

Hedman has 4m the next two years. Not too bad.
