For some reason I have a feeling that the redwings actualy have a shot at the cup this year. If they want to go for it this year here are some realistic trades that could help them.

Det: Chara

Bos: mantha
It is already clear that Detroit doesn't like mantha and chara is up for grabs. A top line defenceman like chara beside krownwall would be discusting

Det: pa parenteau

Tor: 2nd, if they don't make 2nd round 3rd and 5th
Parenteau could add amazing depth for a 3rd line. He is a 20 goal scorer that is also a big guy and can play the PP if needed.

No charra is old as hell has a high cap hit and is slow. Way past his prime does not make blues better.

chara has one, maybe two years left in the league. why would they give up a top prospect for him?
