So basically 2 1sts and 3rd for Drouin.

The only thing that interests Tampa is Scherbak. It would take overpayment to deal him into the same conference, let alone division. Plus Ghetto is an average prospect, Tinordi is a bust and a late 1st doesn't cut it.

tinordi no longer counts as a first. that's like saying gardiner is a 1st. or any piece of trash drafted too high counts as a first.

thats like saying zetterberg for a 7th because he was a 7th rounder. or rinne for a fifth because he was a 5th rounder.

Drouin is not going to take an overpayment. He wants out so if Tampa can get fair/ equal value for him, they will do so.

Everyone dumps on Tinordj saying he's a bist simply because he hasn't been used to his ability yet in his career and hasn't really been given a fair shot. I guarantee he ends up turning into one of the best shutdown defencemen within the next couple of years if he is given a shot (whether with mtl or not) he was a 1st round pick for a reason let's not forget that.

Can someone please remind me as to when drouin became a superstar. His numbers don't show it. 40 points in 89 games with a team like tampa, compare that to kadri who had like 46 points in a 48 game season on the leafs. I'm confused other than kadri must be junk because he is a leaf.

It's different when Drouin is playing 4th line and no PP and Kadri was a top 6 center with PP time. Huge difference. Oppertunity was not the same. Drouin scores at the same 5v5 rate as Sedin and Voracek. Those are good numbers. Not to mention he's 20. He's got the skills to be elite he's not some bum.

Past 20 games Drouin was playing along Stamkos. Also 15 mins a game and scored 6 points.

@Beastmode your right when you said it won't be it WILL for the same division. I think Yzermans smart enough to not trade Drouin to Montreal and having to face him every playoffs unless it really is an offer he can't refuse.

@JPaps, Drouin has played in 19 games this season and has 2 goals and 6 assists. He has also not played on Stamkos line since early in the season. He is averaging under 15 min a game and on a few occasions has played around or under 10. I watch the games, I know where he has been lining up, and it isn't often he's on the top line or in the top 6. It's obvious you haven't watched him or the team play.

Jbs32. Isn't often but he has played with Stamkos. Numbers still aren't great. Kids today don't want to put in the time and sweat of moving up the proper way. Yzerman won't trade him because, requesting a trade lowers the players value (lack of character) . Perfect ex. Is Hamonic, very good dman and always top 5 in hits, but, NYI isn't getting quality offers.

I think Drouin would love to go play with his buddy Mackinnon in Colorado, maybe he's just not getting along with Cooper or maybe its somethig else but i remember seeing an interview with him awhile back where he was asked if we could expect the same kind of first season Mackinnon had for him and his answer was pretty straight forward, yes. he's a very competitive guy and probably wants to be on a team that has a bigger role for him right now so he can start producing at the pace he's used to. wouldn't be surprised if Sakic made a big push for him.

You can't say Drouin has played wit Stamkos before so his numbers should be better. His numbers were better when he played with Stamkos. But you can't say he plays with Stamkos so that makes his numbers look even worse when he doesn't play with Stamkos or really see much ice time. The logic has is flawed.
