I've been brain storming for an hour on how the cap would work with these trades and signings so here it goes:

Van: Ellis, Wilson, 2019 1st
Nash: Sedin, Sedin, 2017 2nd
I feel Nashville would run because 2 years left with the sedins and they'd be a contender easily.

Van: Kindl, 2017 3rd
Fla: Higgins, Sbisa, 2017 3rd
Cap dump with Higgins and basically trading defensemen and picks.

Van: Martinez, Nolan
L. A: Edler
L. A gets a dman to still play with doughty and Van gets a penalty killer back along with a good dman.

Van: Cogliano, Gibson
Ana: Miller, Cassels, Granlund
I just needed to get rid of Miller and get a LW and I believe Cogliano was on the 3rd line last I checked so I took him off their hands.

Signings:
Boedker 2.5 mil for 3 years
Brouwer 3 mil for 2 years
Chiasson 1.5 mil for 2 years
B. Smith 950k for 1 year

Lines:
Boedker- Wilson - Brouwer
Cogliano- Sutter- Chiasson
Etem- Horvat- Virtanen
Nolan- Guance- Smith

Ellis-Tanev
Martinez- Gudbranson
Kindl- Hutton
Trykamin- Biega

Gibson
Maelstrom

Even though you managed to trade most of the scraps and older players off the Canucks I honestly think that lineup looks worse. Sedins are worth more then that too the Canucks. Maybe they'll be traded with 1 Year left but can't see them both waiving for Nashville now. Bob Murray also blocks Vancouver number. So much to say so little time.

I love how you got Chiasson on the second line when he was barely on Ottawa's fourth. Not to get into the trades cause I know someone else will bodker will be looking for 4.5 or more and same with brouwer. But your spot on with Chiasson he'll probably only get 1.5.

The Boedker signing would never happen, as sens101 said it would need to be way more. Also, Cogliano is a very consistent and speedy mid-6 winger who hasn't missed a game since he entered the league 9 years ago. He's worth more than what you offered by a lot, not to mention Gibson is worth more than anyone on the Nucks.
