Cal
Johnny G.
Sean Monohan

NYR
Rick Nash
1st rounder protected.

Obvious Flames management has no desire to keep these 2 happy. Demoralized efforts with dimished play are sure to result from stingy negotiations. Might as well cut the losses and pick up an impact player that is available and continue to re-build in Calgary with 2 1st round picks next year.

Hahahahahahahahahaha. That is the absolute worst trade proposal EVER submitted in the history of trade proposals.

Nash "an impact player. ' Not so much any more. And a 1st, but protected. HAHA. So very terrible. That package wouldn't get you close to just 1 of Gaudreau or Monahan.

Don't feed the troll guys.

Nash still can be an impact player man, but that doesn't justify how bad this trade is, its very bad.

Lol. Flames add?
Come on, this is horrible. One of the worst in a while.
You're reasoning shows you have no clue.

I honestly think Benning would die of laughter after reading this trade.

I've seen worse trade proposals. Strait up trade is probably not a realistic one, but again. READ.

Because Calgary obviously doesn't want them, what else you going to get for them? Sedin twins? I'm sure leafs would give Lupul and Kadri? Habs Plekanic and Paul Byron. Sens Turris and Phanef.

After this fiasco of being treated poorly by Burkie and puppets they'll never play in Calgary with any heart again. Liquidate for as much as you can get and start over time.

As a Leafs fan if Calargy offered up those two I'd give them.

Mathews
JVR
Kadri
Kappnen
2nd 2017

K99 stick to Soccor my friend.

Monahan and gaudreau aren't going anywhere

You do realize it took Stamkos however long to sign a contract yet he stayed with his team. Just because they haven't sign yet doesn't mean there not wanted, that's pretty obvious.

One of the worst trades I've ever seen on this site and their have been a lot, Calgary counters with 2100 7th for all of ny 1st, 2nds, and 3rds, kreider, and am I forgetting anything? Calgary then spams ny with horrendous trade like the 1 above. Seriously use your head.

18.) 12 Jul 2016
12 Jul 2016 01:24:14
Why do you think Calgary doesn't want them? They are easily Flames best players and will be for many many years. This is garbage and you can't deny it. Come on man. You know this is bad so don't fight it.

12 Jul 2016 02:34:21
Wow K99. You're out to lunch man. Ther are sooooooo many RFAs still unsigned. Tampa has two I believe. Big names too. STL Schwartz. Like 20 others.
You're crazy for suggesting those two won't play with any heart in Calgary after this.

Guys he obviously lives under a rock and doesn't know anything about hockey or what goes on behind the scenes. Hey bud it's called negotiations and we get it they aren't signed yet but does that matter it doesn't mean they are not wanted it means the flames organization is trying to figure out a number that works for the players and organization like come on there is a business side to it you do know that right? You can't just fork out money to a couple guys that are in their early 20's great players or not you have 21 other players that have to fit under the salary cap the flames gave themselves plenty of space to resign these two studs they left 14 million after the moves they have made with brouwer johnson and Elliott. Drafting tkachuk is huge I love his game and the way he plays fits into the style calgary needs to play to be a contender in the west lots of grit and has tremendous hockey IQ. K99 look at the team do some research on the salary cap and the business side of hockey oh and while you're at it please stop making a fool out of yourself you sound like a typical oiler fan go away! Sincerely the C OF Red.

12 Jul 2016 15:26:33
K99: your trade is based off your belief that CGY Doesn't want to sign those 2. Need I remind you that both Mackinnon and Scheifele just signed a few days ago as well. It's a negotiation. Your really, REALLY reaching with this. Even if CGY didn't want them they would know the value of Gaudreau and Monahan. CGY would get way way better offers.

22.) 12 Jul 2016

McJ
No contract signed yet for either player, and this should be done already. Flames are obviously trying to low ball them as their close to being capped out. This won't sit well with the players hence demoralizing them and having them count down the days till they can get out of the organization that doesn't feel they are worth fair market value.

Bar Down,
Soccer is a poor people's 3rd world nation sport that is equivalent to watching the paint drying *yawn* . You can go watch it if you like. I'll pass.
If you were Leafs GM with that trade it would be 100 Years instead of 49 and counting for no cupsville and another year or 2 of top draft pick odds if you gave that for those 2. Your fellow Leaf supporters would be out with torches and pitchforks if you made that trade *lol*

yup
It's human nature. If I was in their position and they were questioning my worth on the team after the stats put up, seeing what similar players are getting, I'd be miffed and counting the days to get outta town guaranteed! If you wouldn't, then you're probably in the minority.

SO everyone / anyone? .
Anyone have realistic proposals here based on the fact that those 2 disgruntled players need to be traded, and Burkie is dealing from a position of weakness. Don't forget Flames have 15 mill only in cap space.

23.) 13 Jul 2016
12 Jul 2016 23:17:38
K dude, first off, its not Burkie running the negotiations, its Brad Treliving. 2nd, based on the last paragraph of your last comment, you are making a VERY BIG assumption that the players are disgruntled. It's the new NHL. As I said earlier, Sheifele and Mackinnon just signed, are you expecting them to play as disgruntled players as well?

These 2 players don't "need" to be traded. They're likely not disgruntled at all and the only "realistic" thing that needs to happen is that you take a step back and take in a heavy dose of reality. If you actually believe what you're writing than you are a fool and have very poor knowledge of the hockey business.

24.) 13 Jul 2016
13 Jul 2016 03:04:27
I look at it as you sign them to identical contracts and you call it a day these guys are the stars they want to play here they have said it all along that's why they didn't participate in the world championships they want to focus on next season and things they need to work on get better and come back in and have a strong season this team is on the rise no doubt these guys will play the only way they know how to play and that's hard every night.

25.) 13 Jul 2016
13 Jul 2016 17:34:02
You know the problem with the nhl these days is there are too many players that want so much money oh I'll play for this if not I'll go somewhere else and get it. The love for the game of hockey is gone you're no longer playing because you love the sport and it's your passion you're playing for money it's pathetic honestly but it's the way of the league K99 you talk about if you were undervalued you wouldn't wanna play for that team OK well there's a perfect example of being 1. a bad teammate we have seen what happens to those the get booted and never truly recover and 2. Being selfish and not playing for the love of the sport you can't live off 3-4 mill a year with Canadian taxes dude get real don't need fancy things all the time how about take that other 3 million and invest it somewhere else make a difference in the world not your own life too selfish of a world we live in that's what's going to bring it down.
