Looks decent. If someone sees something in Yak, it isn't bad. I'm not sure why anyone would give up anything for him though. You need to see him live to really appreciate what a sideshow he is. Cross ice passes 4 feet in the air, standing just inside the blue line watching the other team cycle while his def sneaks past him from the point and slow changes are always on display. But, he does have an explosive first step and hard shot. You never know.

Bj96 maybee if edm had better scouts 3rd rnd picks would be worth while I know they ate a shot in the dark. But just a few drafts ago you had 3-5 3rd rounders make nhl teams ghost parayko, vessey. So it really depends on how good your scouts are. Plus if you have 2-3 picks third round it improves your chances. I would wait one more season see if yak improves then ship him out.

Your not always going to pick in the high 1st 2nd round and even then edm hasn't picked well.

Well we all know Borje is an Oilers hater, oh well, won't say anything to that, but Colt made a good point about the scouting. Oilers scouts were horrendous for so long until mcdavids draft year, so a 3rd round isn't that bad. But like Bj said, this doesn't help Edmonton. I'd rather tough it out with Yak then have Puempel.
