Boyle to Toronto for Froese and 2nd round pick. What the hell is going on in the market right now.

Decent move for some depth at center and Bozak is out right now so he'll probably be on the 3rd line. Not really sure who Froese is though - only 52 NHL games in the last 7 years since he was drafted. I didn't think Boyle would cost a 2nd.

Talk was Boyle would get a first. Some teams liked him more than Hanzal. i'd say it was a little on the low side.

Yeah thought Boyle would get atleast a 1st. Tampa got smoked on this imo.
Oilers lost out on him because they don't have their 2nd round for this year. Sucks.

Whoever said Boyle would get a 1st is on some serious drugs. He's a 3rd or 4th line guy, 32 years old and mediocre at best.

Really good move for leafs. They had 3 seconds (leafs, sens from phaneuf deal, and sharks from polak deal) the condition is the best of the 3 goes to Tampa, the middle one goes to dallas (acquired for eaves, previously acquired by ducks in Freddy Andersen trade) and they keep the worst.

And froese was given a good chance last year as a bottom six centre and penalty killer, did okay but never separated himself from any of the other mediocre young guys on a really weak leafs lineup.

This year he was leading AHL in goals with 24 as of last week. Selling high on a guy they don't have in the plans. Also Boyle has played 95 Playoff games since 2012 (only Hagelin, 97, has more) that experience is huge. That's more games than half the leafs line up has including rookie camps, preseason and regular season games.
