Personally I don’t want to see Gaudreau or Monahan gone, because I feel like if someone just worked with them on their playoff form they’d be difference makers. But I have a few changes I’d personally make myself.

Sign Taylor Hall (6.95 or 7.45 @ 4yr), Travis Hamonic (2.35 @ 3yr) & Brendan Dillon (4.25 @ 4yr)

CGY : Mikael Backlund
BUF : 2020 2nd Round Pick & 2021 2nd Round Pick

CGY : 2021 5th Round Pick
NJD : Miles Wood

CGY : Oliver Kylington, Dimitri Zavgorodniy & 2021 3rd Round Pick
VAN : Jake Virtanen

CGY : Derek Ryan
MTL : 2020 4th Round Pick

Taylor Hall - Sean Monahan - Johnny Gaudreau
Matthew Tkachuk - Dillon Dube - Elias Lindholm
Milan Lucic - Sam Bennett - Andrew Mangiapane
Miles Wood - Glenn Gawdin - Jake Virtanen

Mark Giordano - Rasmus Andersson
Noah Hanifin - Brendan Dillon
Juuso Valimaki - Travis Hamonic

Lol that is a laughable contract offer for hall. Edmonton is only 3 hours away from Calgary and I’m absolutely sure they’d give him 7.5 mil over 7 years.

I thimk Miles Wood is worth more than a 5th round pick.

No way that Virtanen is worth that much but he would be a player to go after. Would love Hall and Dillon but I think Hall will cost more than that.

First off, not giving up a solid prospect for a 4th liner. lol
Second, I do think that if Taylor wanted to come home, with the flat cap and a home town discount that he’d sign for around that. He’s NEVER going back to EDM, that’s just laughable.

Interesting. Though I'd like it better without Gaudreau or at least with him not on the top line.

Dillon is exactly the type of defenceman Calgary really needs though I doubt Treliving will ever figure that out.

Taylor Hall, I dunno. He's a very skilled player but there seems to be something wrong with him. Nobody keeps him around for very long. Still, at 7.45 mil it might be worth taking a shot at repatriating the home town boy.

That's too much for Virtanen, maybe not enough for Backlund and I really don't think Hamonic will be back. I like that though if they had to resign one defenceman, I'd definitely prefer Hamonic over Brodie. Unfortunately Tre is very likely to do the wrong thing and resign Brodie.

Derek Ryan is very versatile, capable of playing up and down the lineup. He's defensively responsible, a good faceoff man and a pretty good play maker (especially for a 3rd/ 4th line player) who contributes offensively too.
