everyones saying desharnais is thrash and untradeable but let's look at it this way. don't get me wrong what i'm about to write is not a shot at leaf fans but considering most people who post on here are either leaf fans or habs fans let's make a comparison. desharnais 48gp 10g 18a 28pts, last season 81g 16g 44a 60 pts. bozak 46g 12g 16a 28pts, last season 73g 18g 29a 47pts. very similar totals I would say, slight edge for desharnais with regards to ppg. now i'm aware that bozak is better on faceoffs and hits more and is better defensively then desharnais. but I could argue that bozak averaged 4 mins more per game this season then desharnais yet there offensive totals were the same and bozak played on a line with kessel. desharnais cap hit 3.5mil for 4 seasons, bozak cap hit 4.2mil for 5 seasons, advantage desharnais. truth is all things considered I would say both players trade value are very similar. so if your going to call desharnais garbage and unmoveable please don't post trades involving bozak.

DD is a good player but i'll take bozak's 200 foot game for an extra 700k any day of the week. bozak is smarter.

Ovie I maybe take bozak as well at the same price but the extra 700,000 and the fact desharnais in my opinion has more offensive upside I think I would stick with dd. bozak plays a better all around game this is true, but when dd had pacioretty and cole on his line there offensive zone time was among the best in the league, with 2 consistent line mates I think he's a lock for 65 pts maybe 75. even 60 pts would make him one of the best signings in recent years. my only point I was trying to make was he is just as tradeable as bozak and I see no reason why he wouldn't get just as much in return. a team looking for an offensive 2nd line center who could help a pp would give a good return, just like a team looking for a good two way 2nd line center would pay for bozak.

I've seen a lot of both of them as a sens fan, and honestly, n I would much rather have DD on my team.
