Oilers need a second line centre. The only option now is to trade.

Oilers possible targets:
Bruins: soderberg
Caps: laich
Preds: Wilson
Jets: burmistov
Pens: sutter
Stars: easkins
Isles: bailey or lee
Flyers: schenn
Rangers: brassard
Sens: smith
Blues: berglund
Jackets: anisomov
Sharks: pavelski
Kings: Richards
Hawks: shaw
Habs: plakenec

Which one is the best option? What would oilers need to offer? Any other options?

Burmistrov is in Russia and won't return to play with the Oilers, Brassard and Plekanec would cost too much, Richards's contract sucks, and Pavelski is a pipe-dream. Minor chances on the other ones. I think MacT is going to look for teams that have over abundance of centers around training camp time and pick up one of them from a team willing to trade.

I'm going to start by ruling out the guys I think aren't attainable.
Eakins DAL, Schenn PHI, Brassard NYR, Berglund STL, Anisimov CBJ, Richards LA, Shaw CHI, Plekanec MTL, Wilson NSH.
Shaw would be the best fit for Edmonton but he is loved by coach Quennville.
Next best fit by rank 1. Pavelski SJ 2. Sutter PIT 3. Lee NYI. Laich WSH, Smith OTT just don't fit the bill Oilers need a second line Center. Not saying Lee would be the solution but he could be a top 6 C possibly.
