Makes zero sense for CBJ. Johanssen is years ahead of Draisaitl and they already have 7 d-men signed.

A few things:

If it actually got to that point (and I will almost guarantee it won't), there would be better offers. And by better I mean more inline with the direction and position the team is in.

CBJ was a playoff team last year, they aren't going to add pieces that take them a step back. Draisaitl may be great, but in 3-4 years. Petry is a decent 4-5 d-man but not a game changer. A prospect and a pick will have little impact.

Most importantly, Johansen is their best player. He's 22 years old with a VERY high ceiling. The return on him would be amazingly high. Your proposal just doesn't fit that criteria.
