5 reason why the the boston bruins will win the stanly cup in 2014-2015 season

the bruins seemed destined to win the stanley cup last year but fell short to their rivals in game 7 of the conference semi-finals an earlier exit then anyone predicted. however despite the low cap space and the departure of iginla the bruins will get the cup back in 2015

reason 1

Despite losing iginla their is a good way to replace him with erikkson. in 2013 erikkson along with rielly smith was traded for tyler seguin and rich peverly. In his first season as a bruin he struggled getting only 10 goals and 37 points compared to his 26 goals and 71 points in dallas. He also suffered from multiple concussions last year. This year a healthy erikkson playing alongside krejci and lucic could bounce back and be the same threat he was in dallas. He played one game alongside krejci and lucic and recorded 4 assists. IN this situation he could be a thirty goal scorer and replace iginla.

reason 2

In is first full season in the NHL Reilly smith showed flashes of brilliance followed by dry spells. he recorded 20 goals and 51 pts. he is a good bet to have a breakout season. if he plays more consistent he could be a 30 goal scorer

reason 3

Just like teammate reily smith this was also krugs first full nhl season. He thrived. He had 14 goals and 40 pts while playing stellar defense and getting a plus minus of 18. IN the postseason he had 6 goals and 16 pts Krug will only improve from here. he could be a 20 goal scorer next year .he will continue to add to the offense while playing great defense in the coming years

reason 4

Dougie Hamilton is poised to have the biggest breakout year of any bruin relieving the top guys like aging chara of playing to many minutes. he had a plus minus of 22 while scoring 7 goals and getting 25 pts last year. he showed huge improvement from 2012-2013 and he will do it again and be a huge part to the 2015 bruins team.

reason 5

peter chiarelli. Despite being in a terrible cap sititaion with no money to work with he will find a way to not only put out a cup contending team but to improve upon the last years president trophy winning team. He has done it before and I have no doubt that he will find a way to make it work this year.

Nope. They will not win it! Teams like LA an Chicago are better and will win it next year then boston will fall back and have to rebuild because of cap problems.

2.) 02 Sep 2014
Boston is weaker this year, Chara is old, no Iggy, doubt they will win a cup this season.

3.) 03 Sep 2014
Steamer

but dougie krug and smith are all going to improve a huge amount plus if erikkson can stay healthy he will be the same threat he was in dallas and a great replacement for iggy

No offense, but everything listed sounds more like wishful thinking rather than being likely. Boston will need finish high in the rankings and have every player healthy and on top of their game to stand a chance. As pointed out, there are much better teams in the West. They're also going to have to learn to be more disciplined. If they could have kept their cool last playoffs they could have got past Montreal.

5.) 03 Sep 2014
They could make the finals if they don't meet the habs again. lolol
but seriously I would like to see someone make a list of like 50 reasons why boston won't win the cup

6.) 03 Sep 2014
Chicago will be the 2014-2015 stanley cup champions not boston

Doubt they will even pass the 2nd round like last year

7.) 03 Sep 2014
Could put a few of the reasons together and just call it organizational/team depth. They have the players improving as well to step up and can go far in the playoffs.
A strong showing from Rask, Chara/others, Bergeron is a great way to go far in the playoffs.
Dont think they win the cup, but they are one of the strongest teams in the east and would have a better chance compared to most in a 7 game series.

Expect them to make it to the cup (not saying they win it) because half of there team is in contract seasons. Players usually play there best in contract years so they can get paid more. Expect Campbell, Boychuk, Paille, to reach around 12 goals 25 points (which is a lot for 4th liners, and for Boychuk who doesn't score a lot)and expect Soderberg to reach 20+ goals (which he has the potential to do if he plays with good players) I'm not saying they win it but watch out for some of there players having some of there best seasons yet.
