Think this works for all teams involved. Not sure how far off I am.
Calgary trades
Lindholm
Hanifin 50% retained
Colorado trades
Ryan Johansen
Bowen Byram
3rd 2025
3rd 2026
I think Hanifin will walk in free agency but Lindholm could be retained for a decent price, especially if landeskog comes back next year.
Then flip Johansen
Calgary trades
Ryan Johansen 50% retained
2024 4th
2025 7th
Rangers trade
Kaapo Kakko
2024 2nd
Easy kaako needs fresh start
Rangers need right wing/ center help
Then
Calgary trades
Tanev 50% retained
Colorado`s 3rd 2025
Edmonton trades
Broberg
Holloway
Deharnais & Erne to make cap work
Tanev can pair with Nurse
Both Broberg & Holloway need fresh starts.
This I think helps all teams involved and jump-starts Calgary's rebuild with players around the same age as Coronato and Zary
Thought?

I was with your reasoning on the first trade as that gives Colorado a serious boost to win it all again, but after that you lost me. Especially on the Cgy-Edm trade, Tanev for 2 1st rd prospects + other assets is just greedy.

I agree with Musing, but I really find it difficult to imagine COL trading Byram.

Flames wouldn’t touch that, they’d get better value trading them separately.

The top UFA center on the market. And no 1st round picking moving.
Top UFA LHD known to be available, and no 1st round pick moving.
Hard no from Calgary.

You’d rather a 1st over Byram? Also I don’t think it’s a good idea for Oil to trade young players for UFA’s.
