Montreal Acquires-
2016 1st Round Pick (5)
Cole Cassels
Jannik Hansen

Vancouver Acquires-
2016 1st Round Pick (8)
Brendan Gallagher

This makes sense for Montreal because they get Cole Cassels and Pierre-Luc Dupuis at the 5th overall pick, they are 2 solid Center Prospects and that's what Montreal needs. Hansen could be a great replacement for Gallagher.

Vancouver would like this because Jannik Hansen scored 20+ goals so his trade value is high right now so it makes sense to trade him while his value is hot. Also, Canucks have a lot of Depth down the middle so they would not mind giving him up. Vancouver would hope that Olli Joilivei drops to 8th overall.

Habs have 9th. . and I don't see either team doing this. Gallagher has to much heart, plus he is on a good contract. , he is still young and could still be a 30 goal man. And if he isn't. it's all the little things he does, that jus can't be replaced.

2.) 24 May 2016 06:20:27
Believe Montreal actually has 9th, I really like Gallagher but no point in trading for him from Canucks point of view. Maybe if we were contending but I'd rather keep the pick and get PLD, keep Cassels (future 3/ 4 C) and could probably trade Hansen for a late 1st or 2nd+. Very good vale contract for teams tight on cap space. 2.5 Mil for a guy who will score 15-20 goals, play good two way/ defensive hockey and skates like the wind. Would love Gallagher tho.

3.) 24 May 2016 07:36:04
I think you mean Pierre-Luc Dubois.

4.) 24 May 2016 14:25:04
Derkins, Yea, he said PLD. -Pierre Luc Dubios.

5.) 24 May 2016 16:44:26
Yup, he actually said pl *DuPuis*.

6.) 24 May 2016 21:38:08
BTW, the Habs don't draft that many Quebecers over others. they passed over a coupewith their most recent 1st rounder: Juulsen over Beauvillier and J. Roy who went a few spots later and were actually ranked higher in most draft projections, TSN, Central Scouting, etc.

7.) 24 May 2016 21:31:42
Habs pass, too much to move up four spots in draft.

Minnesota Acquires-
Alexander Edler
3rd Round Pick

Vancouver Acquires-
Jonas Brodin

Minnesota gets more Veteran leadership for the playoffs and the Canucks get younger on the defensive core.

SniperLyfe47

1.) 24 May 2016 06:30:25
Minnesota wouldn't want to gain cap plus get older. Makes zero sense.

2.) 24 May 2016 08:33:45
Yes from Canucks. But for the reasons Ebs said above no way Minny does this.

Buffalo Acquires-
Jacob Markstrom

Vancouver Acquires-
2016 2nd Round Pick
Mark Pysyk

This trade makes sense for Buffalo because Buffalo is looking for a Solid Goalie of the future to finish the Re-Build. They tried this with Robin Lehner but it didn't work out for them. Other teams tried this too, San Jose was one of them and it worked out great for them because they are in the Conference Finals now. They have a chance to win the cup too with Martin Jones if they do it would be amazing. I feel like Buffalo would like to take another chance at it. Markstrom could become a great goalie for them. Also, Buffalo have a lot of D-Man and prospects I'm sure they would not mind getting rid of a D-Man and a 2nd Round Pick.

Vancouver would like some more young defenseman and Mark Pysyk would be great for them. Also, they get a 2nd Round Pick wich is great for them because of the situation they are in. Finally, Thatcher Demko is in their prospect pool and he will be 21 by the next NHL season they could bring him as a backup if they would like or they could sign someone in free agency.

1.) 24 May 2016 05:28:12
How about Canucks give you Miller instead and you can take out Pysyk and the 2nd and add a 3rd.

2.) 24 May 2016 14:09:44
We don't want or need another goalie.

Vancouver Acquires-
Mark Pysyk
2016 1st Round Pick (8)
Sam Reinhart
2016 3rd Round Pick

Buffalo Acquires-
2016 1st Round Pick (5)
2016 2nd Round Pick (3)
Jake Virtanen
2016 3rd Round Pick (3)

This trade makes sense for the Vancouver because they are looking for a 1st line Center to replace Henrick for the future and plus the Canucks had a lot of interest in Reinhart in the 2014 draft because they were looking to draft him first overall. Also, the Canucks would like to draft a defencemen and the Canucks are hoping that Olli Juolevi drops to 8th overall and thy get Mark Pysyk who is also very young.

Buffalo would like this because they have way to many center and defensive prospects. Also, they need some young wingers and Virtanen would be perfect. Also Buffalo is moving up so they can get Thachuk. So you get two young wingers for one Centerman.

''Plus the Canucks had a lot of interest in Reinhart in the 2014 draft because they were looking to draft him first overall''

LOL what?
I don't think the Canucks had a 1st overall in the 2014 NHL Draft.

I also don't know what you mean by putting the number (3) near the 2016 3rd and second rounders. Are they trading 3 second rounders? 3 third rounders?

2.) 16 May 2016 06:18:24
This is so dumb.
Easy NO from buffalo!

3.) 16 May 2016 06:41:01
I wish from Van. Don't see Buffalo moving Reinhart.

4.) 16 May 2016 18:02:40
Why not just let reinhart play wing lol doesn't that fix Buffalo's issue? isn't that what they were already doing this year? also in 2014 Vancouver picked 6th, don't know what you're smoking but I wan't some xD.

Van- Burrows

Caralina- 7th Round Pick

Van- Higgins

Arizona- 7th round Pick

Just a cap dump.
If those teams don't want to give up picks then get some guy that can play in the AHL that no one has heard of.

SniperLyfe47

1.) 03 Jun 2016 02:27:14
I'd do both as a Canucks fan. Although I believe if we retain on either we could get a 4th. Higgins at 1 mil would be a great depth pick up for teams against the cap.

2.) 03 Jun 2016 02:45:01
You can't even spell Carolina. smh.

Carolina and Arizona say no.

3.) 03 Jun 2016 09:06:21
Blow Jim I don't think that benning got what I take to make the trade he did not even get something for dan and vrbata.

4.) 03 Jun 2016 09:29:01
True MF, he'll have to add a 2nd rounder.

This makes no sense because Mtl are looking for Center Depth, why would they want to trade a Center away. Also the Canucks have way to many Centerman such as Sutter, Horvat, Sedin, Cassels, McCann.
