What would it take to get Kane out of Winnipeg?
To WPG: Edler, Gaunce and a 2nd
To VAN: Kane
Maybe throw in Schroeder if that isn't enough from Vancouver. Let me know what you think
1.) I think edler and a 2nd should be enough. Not sure if edler would go there because he has a no trade clause. I think 7 players on the Canuck have a no trade clause. Thanks gillis
2.) I really don't think Kane is going anywhere, unless its an overpayment. Kane has clear chemistry with Shieffle and Wheeler and IMO that will be 1st line this year, and he will get 1st line PP mins. he's going to light it up. providing he doesn't break his hand in a fight again this year.
3.) More than enough from Vancouver.
4.) I agree that it’ll take a substantial offer to get Kane. He played hurt most of last year. With Maurice at the helm and the emergence of Scheifele, the Jets will want to see what kind of chemistry Kane/Scheifele/Wheeler will have together. Winnipeg would be concerned about trading Kane to a Western opponent and having it come back to haunt them. Horvat would have to be part of a package for the Jets to consider it. I’m not sure that Vancouver would be interested in that.
Phanuef is a decent d-man, but not worth the 3rd overall pick straight up
