but that's what the norris is now. score the most points as a defenceman? ok, here's a norris. same with the selke. it doesn't go to best defensive forward, it goes to whichever 2-way centre they feel like giving it to this year.

Karlsson is a lot better in his own end than he gets credit for. The management would be insain if they played him more in the PK, he plays 30 MIN+ every night anyway. With that said Norris Trophy sould go to the defenseman with the best twoway ability which he isn't.

I agree. At times he gets lost in his own end and forgets his positioning. Ottawa's goaltending isn't the reason for having the fourth most goals against so making the argument that he gets the most ice time doesn't help his cause as his amount of ice time obviously isn't helping the team. In all, he's a high risk/ high reward player which to me shouldn't be what the Norris is about.
