*Montreal retains 50% of DSavard's remaining contract which is the rest of this season and next.


Montreal and Toronto rarely make trades with each other but what each team would be looking at this proposal makes sense imo.

I doubt that there is any NHL team hoping to acquire Liljegren. You would think that, if he had any value, cash space crunched Toronto should want to keep a younger, inexpensive defenseman, but every TML fan seems to want to trade him.

- This is a big “NON” from MTL.

- I agree with Lago that Lilly is not a coveted D. He’s a throw-in, and a bit of a sweetheart for the grind of playoff hockey.

- the word is that Treliving is reticent to trade his 1st anyway. Attempts to package multiple lower picks as trade capital haven’t worked. He’s either going to have consider moving his 1st or making much smaller trades.
