Toronto is having a great offseason and still has 14 million cap. Bruins have 1 mill space and need to resign some key players.

Tor: Siedenberg

Bos: Franson
--------------------
Philly is 3 millover the cap right now and need to sign some guys

Tor: Simmonds

Phi: 2nd (maybe more)

You are SO FAR OFF if you think you could get Simmonds for a 2nd.
He's definitely not the guy they're trading he's got a great contract.
And even if, he's not going to get traded for a 2nd

"Toronto is having a great offseason" - I stopped reading after that.

Wayne Simmonds is worth more than a leafs 2nd rd pick, I'm pretty sure the leafs don't have a 2nd rd pick in 2015 anyway and boston doesn't want franson

Fine if Boston doesn't want Franson we'll make 2 offer sheets and screw them over Rielly Smith 7 years 4mill per Krug 4 years 4mill per. They will be able to sign neither of them and lose both top prospects

As a leafs fan, I greatly agree with ace. Unless nonis is some magical magician and has made great under dog gem diomond in the rough signings, we are a way worse team compared to last yr. #mcdavid2015

@Leaffan81 you couldn't sign both Rielly and Krug 4 million cause you would have to give up your 2014 1st and 3rd twice as compensation.

Simmonds > 2nd
Seidenberg > Franson
And offer-sheeting both Boston players would simply have the Bruins match and then move other players to compensate for the cap hits (Boychuk moved and Krug takes his place, Kelly moved and Spooner takes his place, etc).
Bad ideas all-around.
